We might not be the most evolved life-form in the galaxy...
But we might be the only one who figured out coffee…
So there’s that... :coffee:

G'Day...

0°/6°C with overcast today... no frost... only gentle wind... maybe a slight drizzle around noon...

home and office caffeination performed successfully... :coffee:

Already yesterday morning I found the hot water at my place only lukewarm...
Checked the radiators, same result... (unlike the Springsteen song my car still works though... ;))
GF in the shower abandoned washing her hair over that... :freeze1:
Same last evening... barely 20°C in the flat...
This morning water and heating still only barely warm...
That's for depending on the city's district heating monopoly... the most expensive residential heating form...

News feed: 25,000 households without heating...
Currently they're still searching for the leakage, while running a temp bypass...
Lets hope they fix that before the snow comes next week...

Office, the usual routine, outside gray in gray... not lifting the mood...

But the week is in its final stage...

Thx Martin, keeping cool should be voluntary!

-4˚c/25f, sunny, calm, frosty.

Peter caught a fever yesterday, so today is spent in his house, while his parents are working and travelling.

Have a warmer one!
Stu

This mornins view from Peters place….the sea in the fjord is frozen…

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.
Good luck with the heat.

It's sunny and 23/-5 this morning, rising to 44/7, later.

I managed to make it to the gym, yesterday, and took the neighbor's dog for a short-ish walk.

Today, I'll hit the gym again, and then on to whatever is on my and Brenda's mind.
We both have to pack for our weekend away, so we'll be doing that as well.

Stu, I hope Peter's fever clears up, soon.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin. At least the Nespresso machine has its own internal water heater so the coffee's always hot even when the shower isn't.

It's 38°F and lightly overcast in Rockville. We'll stay cloudy all day (I guess we don't live on "the range, where the skies are not cloudy all day") and top out at a measly 46 degrees. Late November. Blech.

Brie the cat was in an extra-playful mood this morning, which is why I'm a bit late to the pot. When I left her she was happily chewing on the end of the plastic stick that holds a stuffed mouse on the end of a length of string. That's been one of her favorite toys since Day One with us, and it keeps her amused for quite a while. She is also periodically fascinated by her own tail, leading to comical outbursts as a whirling dervish in Mrs. Fun's comfy chair as she chases it.

It's Thursday which of course means uke day. I met with the leaders yesterday for lunch and agreed to take over the administrative and coordinating parts of their role. I'll still rely on them to curate the music library, and on the strength of their musicianship to help keep the group on track in that area.

Looking ahead at the next several days I se very few events that will require my time and attention; of those, the one that most interests me is dinner tomorrow tonight with our financial advisor and his wife, at our mutually favorite Italian restaurant. After that there's nothing much on the docket. We've not made any plans for Thanksgiving, and a quiet day at home would suit us just fine. I may raise the suggestion of asking the neighbors over but beyond that there's not a lot planned.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Who shot Thursday for Martin and Stu? Are there any arrests yet?
As it's all on their side of the pond, maybe the EU is brewing a conspiracy of continental proportions.
Freezing and diseasing over yonder. Yikes!
Meanwhile it's a warm, but dreary day in the Deep South, mid-70s for the high (like I was, back then. Oops!) but foggy and overcast, with rain moving in tomorrow.
It's been a great weather week for commuting on the bike, except Someone turns off the big light before I leave in the afternoon.
Thanks for the first nip Martin, I'll take it from here with a new pot of Black ⚫️ Rifle, freshly ground in the kitchen.
It looks like Roz' attempt at fostering this pretty, new tuxedo cat has failed.
She has not made any effort at finding Milo a home, so all evidence points to him living here. With her (HER! I said!) three other cats.
Milo is about 1 year old, fressef in perfectly formal shiny, sleek black coat, and white chin running down to the formal white shirt showing on his chest, and four perfect paws with white spats.
But dang! The last thing we needed is another cat. Other than her political meanings, she is Vance's definition of a crazy cat lady.
But at least he is nicer to Kaiser than her other three heathens, and he's big enough to fend for himself.
If it were tomorrow today, we could call this Friday Feline Follies.

Morning Martin & All from another overcast morning in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 38, up from 32F and heading for 48F. Yeah, November! Yuk! No rain overnight, so our totals are pretty much worthless. No breeze yet, later the winds will be out of the WSW @ 8 to 9MPH. There is still threats of more rain, but I doubt it.

WOW, where is everyone? I'm usually one of the last to check in. :unsure-2x:

Sorry Martin, to hear about the lack of heat. And I also hope Peter recovers soon from his fever!

Today, I'll go talk to the Gal handling the WeSTOC XXX Hotels stuff. We'll zero in on the final details and get this ball off the ground.

Chris is still asleep, seems like since coming back from Montana, she is sleeping in a lot. So breakfast will wait. Probably fried eggs, bacon, toast & OJ, once she wakes up. Pepsi(s) on the menu for later.

Anyone :wht13: , have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Good Morning, Thanks Martin for coffee, Coffee and Ice cream are humanity's greatest gift to the Galaxy. iPhone Says Cloudy to day 45 F high 51 ,6 mph wind from 107° ESE . Stu ,stay healthy and hopefully Peter gets over fever quickly.
My condolences to Sadlsor ,four Cats would drive me over the edge, I have enough problems with Star who is 15 years old and Precious who is coming up to 15 as well. Today's agenda, haven't a clue, anyway, Y'all have a good day G

Afternoon, y’all.

After 8 hours of internet outage, I’m finally online.

Don’t have a clue about the weather, as the app isn’t working. It seems to be raining.

After speaking with the ISP technichian, he asked if I had and questions. I asked him if he had the phone number of Starlink.

John
