I do not have an Epic jacket but I have a couple of lighter jackets, the Flex and Intake, and some Tourmaster pants as well as gloves. TM provides good value for the money in my opinion.

I bought one two weeks ago! I like it! It has what I am looking for, vents on chest and arm. Liner can be taken off for warmer weather. I still sweat after going thru city traffic though. I took the hi viz yellow, better be seen on the road than be statistics.

Purchased the hi-viz Epic yesterday and rode into work today to test it out. This is my first hi-viz jacket and while I like to be seen, I am concerned that it will get dirty fast and washing will hurt it's ability to be waterproof. I've also heard that hi-viz fads after a while?
I bought the Epic as a winter jacket because I ride in temps down to 10 degrees - as long as there is no ice/snow on the roads. Based on my ride in this morning (30 miles on freeway at 38 degrees) I don't think this jacket can do it. My 8 year-old Tour Master short Jacket with liner is better at keeping the wind off but is really hot in warmer weather but does not have all the options the Epic has. Like the under-the-helmet hood (might come in handy), lots of venting, TPR pulls (for a custom fit) and kidney belt (great option). Even with my Gerbing liner my arms were cool but my body was hot on the ride in. Tour Master literature states that the Epic liner has "Thinsulate" insulation but the liner label says it's poly insulation - I have a e-mail into Tour Master on this.
I think the Epic is made very well (even though the CE approved armor seems cheap), but at $250 I was hoping for a little more warmth/wind protection. Then again, with all the venting maybe I can wear this in warmer temps - 75 degrees - and keep looking for that winter jacket. The ride home this afternoon should be around 70 degrees and I'm hoping it will be OK.

30 day Epic review:
Have worn the Epic commuting for the last month and it's worked out very well. The hi-viz color was hard to get used to but I swear that I'm seen by more drivers and I have fewer close calls. I'm actually on my 3rd Epic because the Jacket has an issue on the bottom of the right sleeve where it starts to fray. I'll keep returning them till Tourmaster gets the message and fixes the issue.
I was surprised that the Jacket was fine when it was 97 degrees out and I was also wearing my Tourmaster overpants. With the cheap, thin liner out the venting works OK - but I was riding my Triumph Tiger which is a lot cooler than the ST. The shoulder vents open up and scoop the air into the jacket - this only happens on the Tiger and not on the ST. I think the Epic will be good from 45 degrees to maybe 85 degrees on the ST. Below 45 I will need Gerbing assistance and maybe a rain coat when it gets below 30 degrees. I can feel the wind pass through the Jacket and liner in the cooler temps.
I also really like the kidney belt. It keeps the jacket tight and warm on those chilly mornings. Have yet to use any of the dozen pockets for anything - would be good for touring I guess. Overall, best motorcycle Jacket I have ever bought.

Have had mine for a few weeks with the same unraveling on the right arm.You will not get a 3M liner with the jacket.I am still trying to get one as this is what they advertized.Loved my old tourmaster but am not liking my dealings with the company right now.I will do some advertising for them next week if nothing gets resolved.
Ain't it funny how stuff shrinks in the closet? My old gear was doing this and it was time for a change. Thanks for all the replies, I know this is late. I bought the Epic jacket, tried it on, climbed on my ST, and then promptly sent it back. I bought one size too large but that 3/4 jacket leaves a lot of bulky material in your lap and I found I would have to sit on the rear portion flap. Not what I wanted. So I bought a Transition and a Jett and one pair of matching riding pants. In the end I spent more than the Epic but got a full set of gear.
