I have a Garmin Zumo 595LM on my 1300 and I know they are not perfect but I was thinking about picking up a couple of the TPMS caps to try them out. I have the Ariete angled aluminum valve stems. I know the say you have to use metal valve stems. So now I am debating on if it is a good idea to trying this with the angled or to switch out to straight on the next tire change. I might do that anyhow but I have a while before that is due. Front might go another year. I will be doing a rear probably mid season.

The stems are like these.

So anyone running these with Garmin TPMS? or bad idea even until I get to the next tire swap?

Same here, 83 degree Ariete angled aluminum stems, no problem with TPMS caps on an ST, Goldwing, and NC700X.

As much as I like the Ariete and Ariete-type valves I went with the T-valves (yet to be installed) because top-offs are more convenient and I'm far less likely to forget to tighten the jam-nut.

Dave, be like Dave, go with the T stems. It's not the worse thing in the world to loosen the lock nut and re-tighten it, but why do it at all?

A couple of years ago, I bought a set of TMPS (can't remember the brand) which included a set for a trailer (four in all). My brother and I used them for a trip we did to WeSTOC out in Grand Junction, back in 2016.

He had original straight valve stems, while I had the angled ones. Mine kept miss-reading , but his were always fine!

I've had these valve stems on the bike since I rebuilt it, almost 80,000 miles ago and I think I'll try the Tee stems my next tire change.

And then remount the TPMS and see if I can get them to work right.
