This post is to remind you about your cup of coffee...
(it's sitting somewhere, getting cold)... :coffee:

G'Day...

1°/13°C, a haze but sunny day... a few spots of morning frost... ☀️

we'd a clear (full)moonlit night, ze GF kept complaining it being too bright... 🌕
till I told her to stop gnarling and go to sleep... 🐺💤

enjoyed my morning Nespresso, prior this I'm like in 'airplane mode'... :coffee:
just finished my office Nescafé... <slurp> OK, now I'm ready to do things... ☕

the 'summer loafers' for the trusty Toyota arrived yesterday, stopped at the shed on my way home to store them for now...
will have the swap done during the annual MOT end of March or so... (I switch to summer tires once the night temps are continuously over 10°C...)

ze GF plans a visit at the gym today, continuing her physical regime on her own there...
no monthly or annual subscription, she claims they issue a day-pass for € 3.50,- ... we'll see...

seems I was too efficient in my office work yesterday... all caught up, nothing on the table... but that can change every second...
(right, jinxed it, Outlook just chimed...)

March already... it was January like 15 seconds ago... 🤔

0415 I was awakened by...myself. I try to curtail drinking too much fluids before bed but I guess i failed last night. Then the hamsters came to nest in my feeble brain. And every little noise became an annoyance. Then the herd chimed in "hey he's awake, it's feeding time!" so here I am. But I agree, any day above the sod is better than beneath it. Thanks for the coffee and wisdom, Martin!

Debating whether to actually get up so this may change. For now, I'll just love on the pets and try to wrangle those thoughts back into their cages. Stand by...

Morning all!

I was awoken by the house cracking. Likely due to the cold.

Brrrrrr. Must remember to throw some extra Winter safety gear in the new vehicle, in case we get delayed or stranded. These temps can be deadly. That said, we're on the road in a bit after we load up the car.

Have a great day!

Obo.

Thx Martin!

7˚c/45f, sun and rain simultaneously, He’s making rainbows today, 20mph wind from south.

Five guests arriving later, for tomorrows funeral.
Son and hos GF are staying til Sunday, the other three for two nights.

Fridgefilling, cooking, pick up Peter in the kindergarten, then rigging some sound equipment in the church late tonight.

I need more coffee….

@steve3b3 First skiing, THEN drinks…

Have a good one!
Stu

From the archives….lake Totak, backroads indeed…

Good morning, all. Thanks for the start, Martin.

52 this morning. Just a slight breeze, as I stepped out to catch the total eclipse, earlier. High of 72, but cloudy and windy enough to be March.

Must have been the full moon, but I had endless weird dreams throughout most of the night. I may go back to bed to see how they end.

John

Good morning all!
Thanks for the caffeine, Martin.

I’m happy, my boat is sitting at my dock, a few dollars later… I’m headed out on the river after lunch, for the first excursion. The motor got a full service by a great marine mechanic.

Stu, stay the course, hopefully you navigate the next wee while with ease!

Presently 64/87F - 17/30C sunny & breezy today.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's sunny and 57 in Bride's Les Baines, and I've already come back to the hotel.
The skiing was okay, but the new boots were killing my feet. Multiple sock layers, maybe I may have been a little lackadaisical about my gout, as well...

The lady who crashed yesterday broke something hip-related. She's supposed to have surgery, today.

Enjoy your day,
Steve

I woke up really early, because I felt the galactic stirring of a lunar nature.
Watched it slowly be nibbled by a large shadow, but it was very slow so I didn't watch all of it, and didn't see the end.
For a brief moment I maybe I should sacrifice a small animal or something, but didn't want to have to explain a missing cat to my wife.
Small animals are still trying to make a home in my Hippo Hands, and as warm as it is maybe I should just take them off. But it will be cold again, maybe within days.
Yesterday I stuffed my gloves in there in attempt to discourage the birds.
Y'all need not worry about my coffee getting cold, as it's always nearby. At least within arms' reach.
Have a good day.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the java, Martin. Sorry about the head gerbils, JD. My own rodents made but a feeble attempt to disturb my slumbers; I went to bed around 2100 hours and didn't get back up until 0750, not counting the pee break at 0400. It's been a minute since I had such a long night of (mostly) sleep.

It's a gray, cheerless, monotone out my window this morning, thanks to about an inch of snow that came down late yesterday afternoon. All pavement remained clear but grass, trees, and bushes all have a coat of white on them. It's 33°F and expected to climb to 42, with chances of rain developing around 1700 hours so the snow can't last but it makes it a really good day to say "meh" and ignore the world outside the house, I think.

Inside, I'll do what I didn't yesterday: go through my SCUBA gear ahead of Friday's planned departure for warmer climes. That departure is now in serious doubt, however: my cousin called yesterday to report that the winds in the Keys are such that seas are high, making it far less likely that the coral outplanting will take place as scheduled. There could be other meaningful volunteer work to be done but neither of us is interested in taking the time and expense to get there only to be given make-work simply because we're on hand. We expect a final decision by Thursday.

Apart from that, it'll be a pretty easy day. I've not been diligent about ukulele practice of late, so there's some catch-up to be done on that front.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good Morning!
Mr Martin.. thanks for starting the day with coffee!
Isn’t it good we don’t start with bourbon?! 🤣

It’s gorgeous here today, wish I could share!
Presently 63f, high mid 70s, blue sky’s and blue birds!

Outlook.. shew don’t know which I hate more.. that ding or even that word.. oh wait.. am not on that wheel any longer! Yeehaaa!! Speaking of which, have you seen that huge exercise wheel for cats??! I mean please.. who is going to buy a Ferris wheel the size of a car, to do what? Like who is going to get a 20 old bike at 68 and think.. I can do that. 😇

When I went outside last night.. it was real late or real early, depending on your glass of water but that full moon and the ground and surroundings were ablaze with an unusual tone of flat color, such so it was scarily stunning, it felt so unreal, so unworldly, so like I was caught somewhere I didn’t belong.. fleeting..
but wow.. 😳

Volcanoes are no longer leading the charge, I am afraid man and war is. History is repeating itself and this is no Netflix rerun.

Mr Stu, I am sorry for the times you find yourself in at the moment, condolences. 🙏

Head gerbils, I heard of those in here before.
I have to ask.. are these gerbils.. rampant thoughts that just won’t quit? Or the shrills of tinnitus? In my case it’s the latter.. man it gets absolutely ridiculous at night!

The Delkeviks came in.. and went on! Ohhhh.. likey, likey!!

Have a great day all!

Success of sorts! Was able to get back to sleep...until the Prince Of Purrrsia decided it was breakfast time, rattling the door and clawing at the door knob (yes, he can reach the knob). I let him in (mistake) and left the door open (another mistake). Then fell back asleep. Awoke 0730 to my alarm, a cat's leg on my throat, and two missing dogs...great. After I celaned up the mess downstairs and fed everyone, I started my day. Picked up a grocery order and logged in. No emergencies so far.

It's another dreary day in SoMD. Had quite a flurry of snow last night but not much accumulation due to warm-ish temps. Still cold 35F/1.5C and low clouds/fog. More threat of cold rain but then it's supposed to get real warm later this week...before another see-saw winter hit. Besides work, the rest of today is unknown. Look/read elsewhere for action/drama. Take care y'all!

Morning Martin & All from sunny, with a couple of clouds, in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 50F, up from 29F and heading for 57F. We had a cold front go through yesterday and we got less that 0.01" of some wet stuff. And since we were at the trailing edge of the storm, I didn't expect too much anyway! The winds are already blowing from the NE @ 9 to 13mph. And later they change, coming from the N @ 12 to 16mph. Next expected storm will be on Thursday. We'll see what that brings us.

Nothing really planned today. I have some DR bills from my procedure I need to get out of the way, and I really need to do my taxes. We'll see if I get either done today.

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast & OJ. Pepsi(s) on the menu for later.

Anyone :bk13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Head gerbils (a.k.a. mind hamsters / rats / rodents) = the imaginary gerbil or hamster, getting on the equally imaginary exercise wheel in the middle of the night and running and running and running ... inside my otherwise empty noggin.

Tinnitus I got but not so's it keeps me awake. Remember the very high-pitched squeal / whine that old CRT-based televisions used to emit? That's me, 24 / 7 / 365. Have had it so long I can't remember ever NOT having had it.

Keith, I know exactly what you are describing!
I’ve been listening to it for far too many years!
It bothers me the most when I’m in the woods!
Huh, speak up!
