Tuesday coffee and weather, 1 September

The Cubano roast is hot and in the pot, waiting for you to come and enjoy it.

It's 74°F and rather muggy in Rockville, even at this early hour. Partly sunny with a high around 94 that will feel like 103 is on tap, so summer isn't quite ready to let go its grip apparently.

Apart from a dentist appointment in the middle of the morning I've got nothing scheduled for today. We'll see what I get up to, when it happens.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

It's 65 and overcast in MA this morning, and this is as warm as it gets. It'll drop to 60, and we're told to expect rain.

Yesterday's Penguin motorcycle race school went off pretty well, and I came home to a spaghetti dinner that Brenda made.

Today, I'll head over to the barber for a trim, and then on to the gym.
Today is also the first Tuesday of the month, so I'll meet up with my former Bose coworkers for talk , beer,and dinner .

outside ze robo mower is zig-zagging, unbothered by the heat...

at ze GF`s, already gulped 3 mugs Nespresso today...

medics state that consuming 42 cups of coffee will kill you...
so be aware that 41 cups are the limit...

formulated a decently harsh, official letter to my former employer...
demanding all outstanding receivables by Sept 15th...

ze GF thinks the wording is way too polite and soft...

OTOH is her car now cause for headache...
wipers failed to work, according to "Doctor Google" likely seized kinematic...
Local VW/Skoda shop says € 360,- on parts... which outraged ze GF...
Will seek and order both, motor and linkage as pattern on eBay...

... I'll meet up with my former Bose coworkers for talk...

You'll might find an astonishing lack in midrange there...

Thanks Keith, looks like all in all, the early risers here don't have much planned for the day.
Me neither.
The Harley rider from a block over, on the street behind my house, made his usual 6am-ish ride by as I sit outside sipping my coffee ️.
Either he meets some friends for breakfast at a nearby diner, or he has to be at work earlier than me.
Not long ago, when I heard it start, I was convinced it was a Harley, but the more I hear it going by, it may in fact be a metric cruiser.
I'm embarrassed to say, I thought I knew the difference in sound at this stage in life, but it seems much quieter than most HD's.
I do know there are a couple of dressers that ride in front of my house from time to time, so maybe I've heard someone else starting theirs.
It sounds a lot different when he starts it up, maybe due to the woods between our back yards, than it does when he rides by.
Oh well.
Maybe I'll get a closer look one day.
I'm not losing sleep over it.
'Cuz I was already awake.
Our hot, dry days of late have repressed the grass growth, so I escaped mowing the back yard again yesterday. It's not looking any worse than a week ago.
Once again, a lot of words to say not much at all.
More coffee, then harness the pup and ride him to work.

I drove the ST home from the storage building yesterday, it started right up after sitting for 2 years, it’s only had about 15-20 miles on it in the last 4 years.
I had the Spyder out for a short tour on Sunday, hopefully I can put a few more miles on, before this great weather leaves us!

Good Morning, been a while since I have had a good night's sleep. Alarm clock woke me up for once. Thanks Keith!. 56 F high 71, Sunny, with clouds in the afternoon, and wet stuff in the night some time. Have opened the gate and took out the garbage, and made breakfast and eaten it,so what to do with the rest of the day? Oh yeah been meaning to advise Sadlsor to check the contacts in the turn signal switch, had to rebuild the Silverwing's switch as they due wear out. Well that's all I have, Y'all stay healthy and alive G

Morning all! Sunny with cloud today, 11C right now, 22C later.

Had a great ride in today. There was a fair amount of traffic but evenly spaced so I could maintain steady progress and the playlist from Spotify was top tier. A day when man, machine, traffic and music were all in sync. Probably explains the stupid ass grin when I got into the office.

Morning Keith & All from mixed Sun & clouds, in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 68F, heading for 78F. Maybe, or maybe not, we'll get another round of thunderstorms today. Yesterday we got a drenching of 0.12" of the wetstuff. Then this morning we got another 0.01". Anymore and we'll be floating away! NOT!
But an area east of us, called Duck Creek Village, got 3.85" of rain in a very short time period. Also, down around ZION NP, got flooded again. But according to the weather guessers, most of today's activities, will be off to the east of us. The winds have been blowing, pretty much all night long, from the S @ 7 to 10 mph. And later, they will be blowing in from the SSW @ 22 to 37mph.

Yesterday, I stopped by the hotel where most will be staying, along with our welcoming/registration/map room. The conference room is much bigger than I thought it would be. And we won't need it all. Also, I got permission to set up a wash station in the back, so that's a good thing. I'm still trying to get all the rest of the details in order, I'm getting there. (I hope )

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast, OJ & Hot Lemon tea. Pepsi(s) for later.

Back home from the English Bank Holiday weekend. We attended the Federation of Sidecar Clubs Annual Rally. Had to travel a whole 75 miles! Mixed weather weekend after our last two months of almost solid sun and heat. Blustery and showery on Friday on the way up, Saturday was wet, wet, wet ..... the rideout was cancelled due to a definite lack of interest when watching the rain bouncing off the tarmac, and I'm confinced the tent touched my nose at times in the early hours of the morning when the wind was truly horrendous Thankfully we were at a Rugby Club so the bar was open during the day....yipeeeee Sunday turned out sunny and breezy, great because that's when all the outdoor fun was due. Maintenance Test, Driving Test (a less than serious sequence of tasks..... but taken very seriously by some!) Highway Code test and then silly games, designed for children but all undertaken by grown ups (at least that's what we were puported to be ). Turnout was a little lower than we would have liked at 65 outfits, but no doubt that was influenced by the weather. A good showing by Pan owners though.
