DLST Tuesday morning coffee hits like:
“... we’re doing this again?!...” :coffee:

G'Day...

3°/7°C, full overcast, rain, possible sleet predicted for the afternoon... 🌨️

Still fully comatose when my phone alarm started to yelp...
Stumbled up, staggered into the kitchen, booting up the Nespresso maker... ☕
15 minutes later ze GF's phone alarm goes off, so I've to hike back into the bedroom to shake, scratch
and convince her to "get up!" with some motivational words... she's very silent these mornings...

Commute, low traffic, good I wasn't on the ST as there is a 3 mile long diesel/oil spill across the entire lane of the westbound rural road... :cautious:

Office, abandoned, ghostly... unbothered I grabbed my Nescafé load to medicate without disturbances... ☕

So, lets 'enjoy' another jet-lagged workday... 😎

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the morning caffeine blast, Martin.

It's 63°F and clear in Rockville. The Windows weather app says it feels like 54 but I disagree. Whatever the case, later it's expected to be sunny and around 83.

By brother and SIL arrived more-or-less on schedule and without incident yesterday afternoon. We'll go downtown today to peek at the cherry blossoms, monument, and memorials then head somewhere for dinner. If we can connect with our cousins in Virginia we'll dine with them, otherwise we'll do our own thing.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's raining and 50f, going to 67 with occasional rain through the day.

I did nothing, yesterday, and also wasn't contacted for a follow-up with orthopedics.

I'll probably do the same, today.

Have a great day,
Steve

Thanks for the start, it's the Kiju Pomegranate Cherry shot for me though not sure if it's better or worse time will tell
My Tuesday's scheduled short [so far] and I see a ride in the afternoon shaping up in one of those things you shake like Orsen Wells and it snows...
except it's a bike, and there's no snow
we're 3 and getting to maybe 14 with a bit of rain maybe but a bit of sun maybe too - a weather reporter I'm not what's the saying - don't quit your day job
applies there speaking of which had a good one yesterday; brought a boiler toward high fire and what's that tune... goes like
it's a funk so rubber check it out now - I think it's the only lyric in the tune but as always it's the music in the background that gets you
fortunately I resisted the urge to start dancing and determined that I had a great big regulator with a mind of it's own kind of a moody thing;
ran all day one day last week without a hitch. Yes, I guess we'll have to parlay that into boringese for the final report
You can be old, incompetent, overpaid and what was the other one... it'll come to me...
but you can't let em know you're crazy, that makes them uncertain and the don't like that
... oh yeah, forgetful :roflmao:
Wish everyone a good one

Good morning, all, and merci for the coffee. Please, sir, may I have some more?

After letting us enjoy a very mild, sunny, snow-melting day yesterday, March seems to have decided to go out like a lion. The view out my windows today is dark, gloomy, soggy and slippery. We'll have light rain with on-and-off ice pellets for the next few hours, and then we get a bit of a break (but no sun) until the real fun begins: freezing rain from around 7 pm to around 4 am, with quite a bit of accumulation possible. The current temp of 1°C/34°F with a feels-like of -24°C/25°F will only increase by a degree or so and will hover around freezing until tomorrow morning, hence the icy precipitation. Ah, well, 'tis the season and all that. Hopefully, the next warm-up will get rid of this round of ice.

Right, must get to it, whatever "it" is! Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

No stories today, and thanks for the coffee Martin.
There's a yellow alert out for freezing rain this late afternoon until tomorrow morning.
Don't know why whenever I see yellow and freezing in the same sentence, I always think of the Frank Zappa song. It's gross, I know, but I for one, will always follow his advice.
So I will never eat the yellow snow, or put yellow ice in my drink.
I wore the newly-cleaned leather jacket yesterday riding to work, and found I'd forgotten how well leather just sheds the wind.
No, it wasn't cold, but 60° is chilly with just a shirt under most of my other jackets, and it was not hot at 82° coming home.
It's not the jacket to wear in the 90s and our southern humidity, though.
Well I was right when I said I didn't have any stories, but if you didn't already know, that doesn't mean I don't have any words.
But if you ever think I talk too much, just let me know.
We can talk about it.
Have a great day.
