Helmets Unhappy with KBC

I purchased a KBC modular helmet about two months ago and have been having problems with the latch on the face sticking and the rear retainer clip comming lose and the rear liner snaps unsnapping every time I take the helmet off. I will talk to customer service to see what they say. Has anyone with a KBC modular have these problems?
 
I bought a KBC (non-modular) helmet a couple months ago. Very comfortable, but it immediately started falling apart. Trim pieces, stuff coming unglued etc.

I replaced it with Scorpion EXO 700. The Scorpion is fantastic so for! Much higher level of Quality than the KBC.
 
I just ordered a KBC modular yesterday! This is the first modular I have found to fit right, but they did not have white in stock. Please let us know what you find out. Thanks
 
E-mailed and left a message this am, no reply. I'll wait a few days before knocking on thier door since they are local.
I really like the fit and the quality of the helmet, the visor is excellant, it's crystal clear. The sticky latch and the snaps coming loose are annoying after a while.
 
Sorry about the delay in this reply, but I did get a quick response from KBC via email with a contact name and phone#. I was leaving for vacation soon and didn't want to drop off the helmet so I repaired it myself with velcro to replace the snaps and a little filing ans silicone for the release.
 
I have had this KBC Modular for over 10 months and it just keeps getting more and more annoying. At first I was impressed with the quality but little by little it just started falling apart. I've never gave their service dept the opportunity to fix it, but I am pretty sure it would just fall apart again. I 'll give the Nolan n102 a try.
 
The Nolan n102 is a great helmet. Comfortable right out of the box. I love the features, of course the flip front, the tinted short visor, and the rachet chin strap retainer instead of D rings. All work well and well worth the price.

I had tried the HJC CL Max. The latching mechanism was sticky, sometimes wouldn't open at all. Then the mechanism fell apart, little pieces were coming out. That's when I ordered the Nolan. Love it.

I went to a high volume helmet shop to buy a KBC FF in particular and the guy behind the counter talked me out of it for the same reasons related. Lots of them came back to this dealer with complaints of stuff falling off or out of them. I bought a HJC Sy Max but found a modular helmet, at least that one, not to my liking either. I may try the NOZ modular as a couple of riding buddies have good things to say about them even though they are only about $125 on-line.
 
A buddy and me purchased Identical KBC modular helmets at the same time last summer. I know that he has had issues with some of the plastic piping in the back of his helmet coming off and not going back on. On mine I like the way it fits but I am not very happy with how fast the lining in the helmet and the pads are holding up. I think that I am going to have to get a Nolan N102 my self
 
I had heard of some problems with KBC so didn't even look at them when I recently shopped for a new helmet. I wound up with an HJC CS-Air (cheap cause this model was discontinued nearly 2 years ago).

In the first 50 miles, the side cover fell off because the shield screw on the right side was loose. I sent an email to HJC expressing my disappointment in their quality control and pointed out that I didn't even think to make sure the screws were properly torqued on a brand new helmet.

They weren't extremely quick in responding but they did and said that they would send me a new side cover which they did. Pretty decent customer service, I would say.
 
All I've ever had is a Shoei as I've been riding for 1 1/2 yrs. But, I use it every day in all sorts of weather and it's still like new. When it comes time I'll probabaly get another.
 
Well, I bought the Nolan, and although it took a little bit of getting used to the chin bar being so close, I have to say this is the quietest most comfortable helmet I have owned. Took a 1,400 mile ride this weekend up to NoCal to break it in with absolutely no issues.
