I don’t trust anyone cheerful before 9 a.m.
That’s how cults start... :coffee:

G'Day...

17°/26°C... currently glaring blue skies... rain or thunderstorms possible in the afternoon... or the evening... or not at all...
The weather guessers can't make up their mind... open three different models, get like five different predictions...
We'll find out... ;)

Multiple doses of Nespresso... :coffee:
Hen fruit, self baked bread, various spreads... 🍞 🧈

Yesterday we went out early, hence too late for here... ;)

A 1 hour 25 minute drive to the Schallaburg Castle...
Quite an impressive build... (and definitely an absolute financial + bureaucratic nightmare to maintain...)

ze GF had discovered they're having an exhibition there, The 80ies Breakaway Decade...

After that a total premiere:

lunch at KFC... 🐔
ze GF has never been there... neither had I, for my entire life...

their ordering touchscreens are an 'adventure game', total PITA, programmed by morons... 😒
it took me 5(!) attempts... and I don't think that I'm a technical illiterate... 🤨
ze GF fought no less with that machine...
after selecting your burger menu, what type & size of fries and what soda with that (and no selection for [ice]!),
you get an advertisement pop up picture...
DO NOT TOUCH THAT!
Doing so will only double (or triple...) your ordering amount... 🙃
Instead locate that tiny [x] on the upper right corner to close...
then it says [proceed]... which you press...
the it says [sum due: € XX,XX,-] upon which you tap your card... you swipe your card... you insert your card with the chip side up...
then it says [your order is canceled in 10 - 9 - 8 - ....]... DAFUQ?!! 🤬

Anyhoo, I had my burger menu, fries, Coke with ice ("can I have ice in that please?" nearly blew their system behind the counter... 😆)
ze GF had two(!) paper-bowls: one with classic, one with boneless filets... 🍗

so, its Sunday...
unfortunately, as this means work again tomorrow... already thinking about that make me mad... 😕

ze GF out on the lawn, re-enacting Starship Troopers... killing bugs... June bugs... 🪲
circled by the silently whirring, old school (offline!) robo mower, occasionally gently nudging her with his front bar... 🤖

enjoy the rest of your w/e!

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin. Burgers, from a KFC? Dafuq, indeed. The Colonel was all about the chicken.

It's 48°F, calm, and sunny in Rockville. Sunny and a high of 77 under brilliant blue skies is what we expect later on.

Mrs. Fun broke in on my uke time yesterday to "dig some holes" for her. She was, once again, rearranging and reorganizing the ornamental and decorative vegetation around the yard, a task I don't really mind although it's inevitably annoying when bushes are involved. And we have LOTS of bushes. Fortunately they all remain where they were but they did still manage to be in the way of other things at times.

Today may see me take that bicycle ride that failed to happen yesterday. Betting odds are still 50/50, in case you're wondering (or wagering).

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

thanks for the start will take a cup this am yes, the ever evolving fast food drive through experience complete with suggestive sales interuptions;
"yes, I did see that on the menu display, along with dozens of other items that if you were listening I also did not request, so I guess this is my que to repeat myself in a clear and raised authoritative... like Im bringing in a 747... "
Well, we all got to do it, shaking our head driving away with no ketchup 😆
beautiful weather again today will get a ride in before I get back to beating on my dually wheels; keeps my mind off my vstar I haven't fixed, how come i got so much stuff in pieces all the time?
anybody got any tips for getting these guys apart after ten plus years Im all ears
wish everyone a good sunday and safe ride if you're out there
(edit) and yes, those last bolts were off
(edit) nuts 🌰 geeze, fifty years and everything's still bolts 🙄
[edit] thanks for the tips! Will give it a shot, I knew it was ATF and something.

It was a chicken burger after all... ;)

But, and what I'd forgotten to mention above:
there is no information where they are sourcing their raw materials... chicken, potatoes etc...

BigDonald's OTOH has a big campaign about using Austrian breed beef, Austrian grown potatoes, Austrian bakeries making the buns...

No such data avail in world of Harland Sanders, those could have been chlorinated chicken filets from south America and potatoes/fries from Egypt for all now...

Well, we all got to do it, shaking our head driving away with no ketchup 😆
I stumbled right into the "trap" with their pop-up... and wondered why the tally suddenly showed over € 25,80,-...
Then on the far left lower corner I spotted that somehow two menus are listed...
So I managed to delete that trickster-extra menu they had sneaked onto me there, but that they'd completely camouflaged the [start payment] within the [sum due: € XX,XX,-] text-field within the red bar running across the bottom, is their final ambush on the clientele...
You have to exactly hit the hotspot over the word [sum] to complete the transaction and finally activate the card terminal... pfffff...
That space/button isn't highlighted at all, thus I ran into 4 timeouts till I realized that hotspot being hidden there... grrr...
That's what you get for "shadow working", doing their job...

But while munching we observed several other patrons fail just as miserably in their ordering attempts with grim satisfaction... ;)

Morning all, and thanks Martin for the chicken saga,

You'd think instead of saying it's all sourced in Austria, they'd just call if AFC (Austria Fried Chicken)
Edit - I mixed up McD's saying it was "local" sourced, and KFC saying "umm, meh."
Maybe it is all from Kentucky! MAGA - make Austrian's grow again.

You also are not supposed to dispatch June bugs when it's still May. I think there's steep environmental fines for that.

It's a cold 5C here under cloudy skies. Slept with extra blankets on the bed as Mrs. O says no more heat until the Fall. We'll see if only get up to 11 later in the day.

Having worked yesterday, I've got to squeeze my weekend into today. Somehow I'll manage, but not have twice the fun, nor twice the enjoyment. I did however get some promising news on the antique vehicle sale. I have a buy from Calgary who's supposed to fly out to look at it. We did a video chat / look over Friday night, and he's obviously very interested. Finger's crossed.

Hope everyone has a super day.

Obo.

edit: Chris., for stuck things if you don't have any Kroil, a 50/50 mix of acetone & ATF is an excellent release agent. Apply liberally and let soak.

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the coffee, Martin. June bugs are best dispatched with a small flock of free range chickens. It’s like watching the clown show at the circus, when the green insectoids hatch and start the feeding frenzy.

Yesterday’s yard work went well. I enlisted a young man to do the heavy lifting, and he didn’t mind working in the rain. At least, he didn’t complain since I was working along side of him, getting just as wet. He dropped out of college, because after running the numbers, figured he could make double the amount in skilled labor trades. He was worried about getting replaced by AI if he stayed, studying banking and finance. Wise move.

Speaking of rain…IMG_0702.jpeg

Good Morning, 50 F and Sunny, phone is totally messed up (wrong). Little girl woke me up at 5:30 , she needed out to the bathroom. Church today, might be riding there as Sharon had her Second shingles shot Friday and is not feeling well. Chris09 , After Obo's suggestion, block of wood on the rim and hit with a BFH (big f___ g hammer) or if you have one big pry bar between the rims. Also I have had to let the air out of the tires.
Well time to open the Airport Gate, so Y'all have a great day G

Morning Martin & All from mostly sunny skies over Southern Utah!

Currently it is 69F, up from 42F and heading for 78F. A slight breeze right now, but later the winds will be out of the NW @ 9 to 15MPH. Yep, looks like Summer is here... Temps are only going up from here. Subject to change without notice! :well1:

I hate those Automated Touchscreens! I've walked out of places that only had them. Also, one of our MickyD's is fully automated. Only drive thru and no human intervention. We don't go there! :censored::censored::censored::censored:

Yesterday...was there a yesterday? :unsure-2x: I can't remember it, so I guess I didn't do anything worth thinking about!

Today is church and we'll continue to get the place ready for my son on Wednesday, for a week.

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast & OJ. Pepsi(s) for later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
