Vstream from National Cycle??

I called National Cycle to find out when their shield would be available for the ST1300 and was told the end of June. I was just about to buy a Rifle shield, but now I'm having second thoughts. I think I'll wait. I'd love to know if these V Stream shields work before I plunk down my hard earned only to find out I've, yet again, bought a shield that doesn't do what I want. It, also, seems to me that the idea behind the V Stream shield is, exactly, opposite of the Rifle's. At least visually. Which has me totally confused. If anyone has heard from other riders that has any experience with these shields, please post what they think of them.

I just took my first winter ride last weekend with my new VStream. I think it is fantastic. I had read one review that complained that at full upright extension it let some air in under the lower front raised portion. It does do that but for me seems great. It was mid 30s the other day and the cool air was a gentle breeze and made no difference behind my full face helmet. I think it will be great in the summer. When it gets hot out it will be great to have that cool little breeze flowing over you when you have your shield in the full upright.

The screen as installed on my bike at full up is a little higher then the stock Honda Screen. The wider top pushes the air further to the left and right which is just what I wanted. With the wider cut thru the air there is much less wind when the shield is in the down position. I found on the streatch of freeway I was on that I rode with the windshield lower then I would have had the stock screen.

I also have the MCL blades and when I am using them I often would like to lean back a little but with the stock screen there was to much wind on my back. Now I can lean back with no or very little wind. With the windshield in the full upright position you are in quite dead calm with a slight breeze running over you. Will be fantastic in the hot weather.

I think it is great

Thanks for the info! I have found it a little too loud with the stock windshield. After reading your post, I just ordered one! I'll give my two cents worth in several weeks when it arrives.
Cheers

That's all I run with, I have one on each of my ST1300s..and I even have one that will go on the 2004#1 when it gets back on the road...probably sometime late summer! :eek:4:

I've been using the V-Stream on my 1300 for several years. Much better than stock or the Cee Bailey I tried. I'm very happy with it.

Haven’t heard about new ones but I’m using the VStream on my 2016 Versys and absolutely love it. Have a MRA wind deflector at the top.
