Hi ya everybody! Happy Wednesday!

There's French roast in the pot along with some mini muffins. Enjoy.

It's -10 here and snowing and blowing hard. It's supposed to pop up to around freezing and become wet snow, hail, rain or some mix thereof. Hopefully your weather is better.

I hope your day is better too!

*hugs*

Obo.

Good morning everyone

The French roast is in the pot and slowly turning to sludge as it waits for you to come enjoy it. Don't let that happen! Get it while it's fresh and delicious!

It's 31°F and cloudy in Rockville, later expected to be 44°F and cloudy. Some sources say there's a chance of rain but the Windows weather app appears skeptical.

We set up the Christmas tree yesterday, in preparation for the holiday party that I'm hosting for the ukulele crowd tomorrow afternoon. I'll do some general cleanup and tidying today. Who knows, that may even extend to my workshop, as it's possible that some of the bunch could be curious and want to see where the magic happens. Right now, the shop is so cluttered that it's little more than a serious industrial accident waiting to happen, and therefore not suitable for visitors.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

[EDIT: I see @Obo beat me to the punch- he must have posted seconds after I began writing. Thanks for the extra jolt, fella!]

Thanks @Obo. I've got a pot going as well; I expect @Mellow will consolidate the two sometime today.

It's just as well that I'm an early riser. The City has been replacing sections of sidewalk and curb on my court, and began jackhammering at 0715, right in front of The House of Fun. Oh joy, oh bliss. Oh my achin' head. More coffee, please.

Coffee, my morning reboot button... :coffee:

G'Day...

4°/7°C, fog...
late to the party, doctors appointment...
just a preliminary meeting at 0945hrs, so driving in daylight for a change, a very gloomy scene though...

about 1030hrs finally my second caffeination at the office... :coffee:

besides some odd clients/work nothing special...

have a good one!

Good morning, all, and thanks for the double dose, Obo and Keith! Much needed.

The word of the day is: Snow. Lots of it, all day today and tomorrow. And the December chill continues, though it's quite a bit warmer today than it was yesterday (hence, the snow): -7C°C/19°F with a feels-like of -10°C/14°F now,, going to -2°C/28°C with a feels-like of -7°C/19°F later. We have steady, "light" snow right now, but it will come down pretty heavily later on.

Right, gotta jump into the last engineering document on the docket. It's due by end of day tomorrow, so it's down to the wire. Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

edit: Heh...a couple of extra "minus" signs found their way into my post (fingers not yet engaged with brain). No it doesn't feel like -14 or -19F. It's cold, but not THAT cold. Yet.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee start, Obo and Keith.

It's partly cloudy and 31, rising to 42 later. Maybe some snow or rain showers tonight .

Brenda's home!
She was released around 4:00pm, after a number of tests. She was glad to be back, and sleep in her own bed, again.

After I visited her in the morning, I drove to Home Depot to rent a carpet cleaner. I had to go to two stores to find one that works. I was driving home with it, when Brenda called to tell me to pick her up. I took care of the living room carpet, before getting her, since I had the time.

We went out to dinner, after she showered and rested.

Today, I may try for a gym visit, or dog walk. I also need to return the carpet cleaner. Dinner, somewhere.

Enjoy your day,
Steve

Thx Obo & Keith!
Why have only one, when you can have two for the same price?
Don’t tell Mrs Stu I said that.

10˚c/50f(!!!!), day started ok, but now it’s heavy rain and 40mph wind from southwest, that’s from where Ray lives, pffft!

Been for a walk uphill.
Now to heat up the leftovers from yesterday, spaghetti and a mean sauce.

Remaining day is an open book…..I’m reading.

@steve3b3 Glad Brenda’s home again!

Have a good one!

Thanks Obo and Kieth. Good you both made a pot because there's not enough coffee to get me going today. Woke up with an angry shoulder, blowing snow and it warmed up for a couple hours last night just long enough to turn the walk and driveway into a sheet of ice! Undecided between more coffee, going back to bed, or showing up at my morning appointment.

Have a great day everyone or at least make the best of it as I intend to and remember be safe out there.

Good Morning, up before the day light, raining when I went to open the Airport gate. 46 F with a high of 51 F. High will be 9° warmer than average for this time of year. Thanks Obo and Keith for coffee, and Martin for Picture, now where are the straws. Today's agenda take Precious to the Vet for anti cough meds and a check up, appointment is at 3 pm. Glad to hear Brenda is doing well. Everyone have a wonderful day G

Morning Obo, Keith & All from cold & sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 27F, up from 26F and heading for 59F. No breeze yet, later the winds will be out of the NNW @5 to 6mph.

Steve, glad to hear that Brenda is now home!

It's good to be home. I'm not planning any more trips this year. And I hope there aren't anymore unexpected ones as well! :well1:

Today, I'll put up the outside decorations, to make Chris happy. Also, I picked up a new office chair from Costco. So I'll put it together, after I do the decorations.

Tomorrow, we are supposed to have a a high of 63F. Maybe I'll get out and do a ride. :dr13: :hat3:

Chris is still asleep, so nothing to eat just yet. But, I'm thinking it will be boiled eggs. Pepsi(s) on the menu for later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

As I sit at my office desk and ponder the meanings of life, I sip my coffee to deterr the thoughts of destroying my computer due to its lack of connectivity to get any work done as well as the commute I had to endure just to get to this point. And now I weigh the options of staying and hoping it resolves itself, or trudge back home where I know (or at least high probability) I will have connectivity. Thank you, gents both, for giving me the strength and sanity to make it thus far today.

Yesterday was the coldest so far this season. I think our high of 30F/-1C yesterday was also our low today, as I watched the temp climb slowly to 32 while I worked in the garage last night. Repainting several of the jazz bands older music stands that look every bit their age (if you've ever set foot in a school band room or seen a ochestra/symphony performance, you know the classic Manhassett stand). At least a dozen are in need so I'm bringing them home two at a time. #5 and 6 are drying today after being up until 2am. Our leader/director is pleased thus far.

@steve3b3 glad to hear Brenda is home again.

I'm sure there's more to relay, but it'll have to wait. I'm making the call to trek back home to be productive. Take care y'all!

Morning all! Grey and wet here again after a day of respite from the rain. Currently 9C and we may get to 13C.

Had a pleasant low key birthday yesterday. Inlaws and kids came for takeout dinner and far too many treats for dessert. The weight scale gave me side eye this morning.

Steve, glad to hear Brenda is back home and doing well.

Hope everyone has a great day, remember to put your weight into it!
