The fact that we collectively agree on bitter dirt water equaling productivity
is somehow deeply fascinating... :coffee:

G'Day...

2°/12°C, again sunny with blue skies today... ☀️

home and office mugs loaded...<slurp!> :coffee:

spotted like 5 scooters and 3 motorcycles this morning...
but the 10 minute downpour on my way home last night, quickly reminded how slippery the roads still are... even with the car... :tire1:

yesterday afternoon ze GF bravely battled through 4+1/2 hours of physio... cycling, leg-pressing, and whatnot...
she's convinced that her butt... ehem... muscles have now steeled enough so she can quit therapy...
nah, she keeps continuing her practice routine, but at home from now on...
Episodes like this show how corrosive life as a desk drone is to one's body...
Me with a background in physical demanding trades, show a significant higher mobility, with more mass and strength to cope and compensate...
Seems to pick up more weekend trail & mountain hiking (with some via ferrata) in the future will do us both good... 🤔
He who rests, rusts... 😁

enjoy your hump-day 😎

Good morning all!
I enjoyed seeing yesterday’s posts. Some have snow, Obo seems to have the lion's share!
We apparently, are done with the cool weather and are marching on into warmer days!
Presently 33/72F or 4/22C.

Stu, I hope the process of saying goodbye to her Dad, isn’t too stressful for Mrs Stu!

I’m dog sitting for my friends today, that’s my only known activity for me so far.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin.

It's 36°F but feels like 22, apparently, under cloudy skies. I see the tallest treetops swaying slightly, which must be the result of the 10 mph SW breeze that has the feels-like down where it is. A high of 53- acceptably mild- with mostly cloudy conditions is the expectation for the day.

Looking ahead at the weather forecast for Islamorada, FL, where I'll be in a week and a half, I see temperatures in the mid-to-upper 70s and warming from there, so I'll leave my mukluks, parka, and snowshoes at home. I'm MORE than ready for a bit of the shorts, sandals, and shirtsleeves lifestyle.

My kid sister turns 60 today- something none of us considered likely during her turbulent period. Even she is a little surprised. Flowers and a $uitable gift have been duly dispatched.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's 15 with some snow showers in the area, although there's nothing out on the deck.
The temperature should rise to 37, and it will remain cloudy.

Yesterday, I made it to the gym for some upper body work, and headed out to a warehouse store for some needed items.

Today, I'm working up to a trip to the local ski hill, maybe.

Oh, the snow has started, outside.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Thx Martin!
I find walking in the hills keep both my body and mind in ok shape.
Some of those who have read my posts, may think otherwise about my mind, but that’s ok.

7˚c/45f, 25mph wind, overcast.

Had a good windy walk.
Been some errands, new lighning cable for my ipad, some electro-spray for my boat switches, etc.

@Whisker Bill The funeral is next wednesday. The siblings are meeting the priest today. Mrs Stu is coping ok, except for putting dirty clothes and a lot of detergent in the tumbledryer, making a mess. Some erratic behaviour during grief must be expected I guess. You know all this first hand, hope your ok now!

Have a good one!
Stu

Dont walk……..(from today)

Yes, Stu, saying goodbye that last time is extremely difficult!
Enjoy your walks! It’s food for the sole!
Keep taking those pictures {we love so much} too!

Good morning all, thanks for the coffee, Martin. Hits the spot this morning.

The snow was coming down relatively hard when I got up this morning. It seems to have abated a little, but will rev up again shortly and fall steadily until the wee hours of tomorrow morning. Today's temps: currently -9°C/16°F with a feels-like of -16°C/3°F, going to a high of -1°C/30°F with a feels-like of -6°C/21°F.

Hands are bad again today so I'll keep it short. Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

G'mornin' from SoMD! It's another dreary start here, 41F/5C. No rain but they're a'threatenin' it! A blissfully serene rise at 0625, not needing an alarm or animal to rouse me from bed. It was a very peaceful, stright-through, 7-hour sleep for once. And knowing I didn't have to waste 3 hours commuting to/from work, my day has already gotten better. Add to it some nice FR (mucho gracias, Martin!) with chocolate toffee creamer and I'm almost deluding myself that I'm on vacation.

But no, work awaits in my increasingly hobby-cluttered office. But I did get the attic frame caulked up, just needing paint now. I do need to look at the Av's brakes as I admittedly rushed them to get out of the cold. They're getting a little warmer than they should be, and I know I forgot to back off the parking brake adjusters. Not a lot else except hoping to walk the Princesses now that it's warming up a bit. Take care y'all!

Good Morning, thanks Martin, to be truthful have to make coffee, feeling a little lazy this morning. Opened Gate at 6 something so now no need to hurry. Had milk with breakfast , which was eggs, black forest ham, cheese on toast. Today agenda, Ride once it warms up a bit, presently 4C / 41 F with clear Skies, which disagree's with the iPhone, going with my thermometer on the porch and my eyes looking at the sky. Do need to bring the Car to a tire shop to replace to bent rims, something about a Concrete block in the middle of the road. Okay Y'all have a good day G

Do need to bring the Car to a tire shop to replace to bent rims, something about a Concrete block in the middle of the road.

We hit a large chunk of firewood once on the highway, after the car ahead of us hit it and sent it flying.

The 1st car ended up losing control and hitting the concrete median after hitting it. We went up and over the log so hard the car's fuel pump shut off from the emergency features it had.

Once all was settled, I was able to reset the fuel pump and put on the spare tire to get it to the shop to be inspected. The other car, driven by and off duty RCMP officer, had to be towed due to significant damage.

All people were OK. I had to replace the aluminum rim, which cost me about $1000.00

We took the offending firewood log with us when we left and ceremonially burned it later that Summer. :campfire1:

I also asked the dealer to return the damaged rim, which I took and sold to the scrap yard for $80.

Well, I'm back...

The skiing didn't happen, although I tried.

The snow did come down at a good rate. I drove to the ski area in 4WD, passing a couple of accidents on the way. Was almost involved in one myself, when some a$$ blew a stop sign at a side street. In a road that was merely two ribbons of black in the snow.

When I got to the ski area, they were already parking in the overflow lot, which usually means that it's going to be a crowded day. I noped out of that, and did the drive back home.

I should have realized that it would be busy, since some school districts had canceled school, due to the snow.

I had breakfast once I got home, and I'll go out and snowblow the walks and driveway again.

Enjoy!

Morning all! Mix of sun and cloud here this morning. Currently 6C, which the "windchill" knocks back to 2C. I had planned on riding the ST into work today but the frost was out in abundance and the House Safety Officer recommended against riding.

Work has been a bit slack lately so am hoping it picks up. On the upside, it has given me time to review key DIY videos on YouTube. Can further injury and havoc be far behind? Inquiring minds think not.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning Martin & All from mixed clouds & Sun, in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 57F, up from 47F and heading for 65F. The winds are blowing from the E @ 3 to 6mph. Later, they will be a little stronger, coming from the W @ 16 to 20mph.

@Obo; snowing inside? Not Good!

I took the Tacoma and had the oil changed, and looked at it last night, only to see oil dripping from underneath! :censored::censored::censored::censored:

So today, I'll jack it up and see where it's coming from. Then clean it up. :mow1:

This happened once before with them. I think it's time to find someone else to do my oil changes.

Also, I'm seeing a skid plate missing. The problem is, I don't know how long it has been gone. So I think I'll order a new one and put it on myself, that way I know it's there!

I just got a call from Chris. The first call I've gotten from her since they left on Sunday. I guess all is as well as can be expected.

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast & a Pepsi, to start the day off.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Hi All,
Call me late, but that’s okay, I ve been called worse!
It’s 70f with blue skies and lots of sun, as my bike sits on the lift, basking in it.

Got my new riding boots in today, I really like them.. Klim Outlander gtx, between those, my Roadskins, panda moto gloves and a jacket that all recently came, I never had so much gear that’s was made for protection. Getting old just makes you spend better money. But it dose feel better, paying attention to safety.

Where is this country heading??!

Sure glad I have a service manual, it has been a great help, mostly.. lacking though, is the often repeated line.. ‘reverse order for install’ that’s pretty much it for putting all the plastic back lol!

I asked ChatGPT haw many units for each model year and got this..

IMG_4753.png

I guess there were no 05-07s produced.

Hey! The important stuff…
Have a great day and if it doesn’t matter in 5 yrs, then it’s not worth worrying about.

Cheers!
Nd
