Whats the saddle bag weight limit???

Stop buy Wal Mart on the way home from work to pick up a few things and I was hungry....MISTAKE!!! I loaded my saddle bags up. Does anyone know the weight limit for those things??? Would hate to loose one on the road..

Carry a load of bricks? Probably not. I have been known to put 18 beers and a bag of ice and never had any problems. This has been done MULTIPLE times with no worries.
 
Ok. Wasn't sure...didnt want to see my contents in my rearview mirrors

You mean the top box isn't a portable ice chest for you beverage of choice? HMMM the givi E460 sure works will for that :cool:
 
20lbs? Yeah, and the tail rack has a load limit of 10lbs, which means you can put a nice feather pillow into the topbox before you exceed the lawyer, er, load limit.

I've loaded 2 12packs of soda, plus additional groceries into the side bags, no problemos.
 
Have carried 4 gallons of paint in em plus sundries. No issues.
 
I read somewhere in Cosmo:

A 12 back of bottles in each saddlebag or 18 pack of cans..
Hondaline top box..30 pack along with a bottle of wine...

Not that I know of course, like I said, I remember reading it in Cosmo:eek::

No worries on the weight...
 
I know a guy that hauls 80#'s of tools in the left side case all over the place and at all speeds to boot !! but he can fix or service almost anything on the side of the road or parking lot !!!!
 
So, I'm thinking,, with a top box, I could carry three midgets plus a regular size pillion?
 
Taxi tested tuff no worries. 12 bottles of heavy ale, ice, a whole filet
and bag of shrimp and some veggies (strictly garnish) fit in one.
More of a volume limit, when you push the bike over trying to close the bag you're about there.

They can't be them fightin' midgets :weights1::box1:.. they're a little stouter than most. I'm sure there's a midget rental place (like Aaron's) around ya somewhere you could test it out at.

Dont know about the panniers, but my top box holds a carton of beer (24 x 300ml bottles/cans). If I take em out of the box i can fill the space with ice:D:D:D

Think the panniers may leak a bit, and it wouls be hard to get the ice in..
