I didn't really pay any attention to this on the initail test drive, but yesterday, my bike was blocked in, so I jumped on my son's to run up to the parts store. I remember showing him all the bonus add ons his bike came with. One of those being the footpeg lowering blocks. Well, He didn't know any better to complain but the foot pegs are about an inch wider (and lower) than stock. this makes the shifter and the brake pedal too close to the bike now. It's really 'inconvenient' to shift and brake. You basically have to turn your foot inward. I spent a few minutes searching for extenders or wideners but since both sides are solid pieces and you can just bolt on a longer peg, I can't find anything that looks feasable.
Am I looking at fabbing something, or has anyone seen soething for our bikes?

Your bonus footpeg lowering blocks will (should) be the first thing you remove for safety reasons.
They touch down without warning, and can/will lever the rear wheel up and toss you off the bike.
Even the ones that claim they fold up, reach their limits and are dangerous.
You may want to rethink that farkle.

right after I posted this, I found this: Shifter Peg Extension I'm gonna order one and see if I can make it work.
Unless I can find something for the Brake, I think I'm gonna order a used brke lever and cut the pad to whatever width my son likes and bolt it beside the original witha steel bar underneath.

Thanks for the replys.

Thanks for the insight. I'm 6'2" and my son is 6"4". Although these are big heavy bikes, they are not exactly "Big and Tall" bikes. Neither one of us are agressive riders but I will mention it to him and be aware of the possibility. If we notice a lot of contact, we will reexamine it.
