I'm planning a ride to Dallas TX next spring. I'll be leaving PA in March and I'm wondering if my 28 amp alternator would support a GPS, or should I buy a dozen new maps:D
I was thinking about finding a used Zumo 450, if that makes any difference.
Thanks
Tom

GPS? No problem. Had one on mine since I've had it........of course, now mine IS giving me problems.....
I've got driving lights and electrics also. Okay, so I don't use the driving lights and electrics for long periods at the same time. :)

Thanks for the quick replies. Now to find the 450 Zumo. :D :rd11:

[Carl]: Look in classified. Someone is selling a 550 for $500
Next tag lists 450s for $556:

Edge has the refurbished 276 C for $500 (smokin' deal)

Whoa! Tiger has the 376 c for $500

And don't worry about refurbished units. My refurbished 2610 is three years old and has well over 25,000 motorcycle miles on it.

If you've not used a GPS, buy one early and learn its quirks.
Also, Adventure Rider has a useful GPS forum. ;)
