It looks like I have some delamination taking place with my stock windscreen as shown in the picture. What recommendations does anyone have for addressing this short of a new windscreen?

I bought the bike used so I don't know if the prior owner used RainX but I certainly have not. I have been using the Honda spray cleaner/polish.

Looks like the windshield had some type of coating on it that is deteriorating. You may be able to polish it off similar to the way plastic headlights are restored.

happened to mine when a Turkey figured out he couldn't fly and smacked my shield. I didn't see the blood smear and kept riding. The next morning I had the coating peeling off as yours.
This also happens when you use Windex or Vinegar sprays on the OEM shields.
I spent four or five HOURS with really hot water (soak) to soften the coating up enough then used Windex with Vinegar and a clay bar to remove the coating completely.
Now the shield will FADE very quickly from the sun, and you'll see scratches very easily.
I ended up putting on a new OEM shield I had as a spare.
Harley Owners found out that when they tried to trim the shield down, even putting blue painters tape across it to trim it with a jig saw, that when they removed the tape, they pulled a two inch wide strip of the clear coat off as well.

You could buy the Autoglym headlight Restoration Kit, and it would probably be a good short to mid term fix. But I think IGF is spot on, you'll probably end up changing it anyhows. I'm sure you'll drop on a good screen cheap enough.
Upt'North.

Same happening to mine, a 2007 ST1300, a local bike paint shop with high credentials recommends to respray with a new clearcoat I wonder about this as when asking about the original clear coat said they would buff it off with a 1000 grade water paper before respraying with the new clear, your thoughts please

If it is a polyurethane clear coat it will be very tough. I've never seen this done though on a windshield - except on oxidized headlights - works great on the headlights if done correctly.
