Wondering about the shop rates in your area.
Here in Houston, $85/hr for basics like tires and oil changes, $110 at the dealer (manager rides his ST1300 to work) and $145 at an independent very familar with the ST.
Was shocked checking a shop with good ST knowledge and OK with older bikes in Milwaukee, $180. Owners claimed it compares well with some Chicago shops down the road at $200 and over.....but did mention a lack of younger customers around. No wonder.
