Into The Unknown

Goodby Pagosa! Love the kids and the town, but its time to ride! I guess im selfish, but i am what i am. While i was there, i did a bunch of shorties, but they arent the same. Ive done 150 mi this morning and it feels great! Heading east, hopefully to Weskan Ks, which is another 200 mi away. This feels so good! I really love killing my gas mileage in the flatlands!72BDE879-3AD5-4BB3-B906-DD5FD04307B1.jpeg47A7230D-FC44-4390-B005-87F45651EC45.jpeg5FE73A3B-B9AA-4684-867A-11A8B666F497.jpeg

I stayed in Lamar a couple times this past summer. The Hickory House is not too bad for breakfast/dinner. It's just north of McDonald's.

Thanks! And, congrats on the new wheels! If you want to be nowhere, try rt 50 in Colorado. No cops so u can open it up!

Im thinking I wouldn't be able to go on extended trip on my 1100.Even with set back risers, im still leaning forward a little, which in turn makes me have to tilt my head back some. After a couple hours my neck is in flames. Im either going to have to find different bars, or get another cruiser bike.

Coolers and back tires just dont mix! Placing that aside, i was up at 3:30 drinking french roast and chomping at the bit. Got out at sunrise and its cool and wonderful. Plans are to wichita ks, but like yesterday, they might change on a whim! It is beautiful here! Gotta buy a new cooler again. B848A109-868E-49BF-B103-4A59EAC9E65F.jpeg

Hey Michael. I think I'll be in Pagosa Springs middle of next week. Sorry to have missed you... we could have had another random meetup.

Well, that sucks! Stop in the Neon Mallard, in Pagosa, for a cocktail. If a big redhaired irish guy is behind the bar, tell him you know pop pop. Id love to hear the reaction! Thats my son in law. Great guy, a gentle giant!
Dont forget to ride wolf creek pass, rt 160

What a great day! Destroyed my mileage, saw cows and windmills! Rode the flats and am now in the trees. The odors were spectacular, except for the fertilizer plant! Spent $32 for a campsite, regrettably, but it is really nice! I can have a fire if i splurge for wood. I feel like i saw everything today. Only one speed trap all day thankfully.
My red is running great and im so happy right now. Its perfect!D1FEC1BC-7747-4CF7-B960-6A1393FB2CCF.jpeg8657CFF6-C83C-4934-8CD9-C9900C1B1D0C.jpegD8E738B5-9455-4B74-A36D-F537E532FB6C.jpeg245DFBAE-EF4D-401C-BF3E-5AE27EB61734.jpeg

Also, next to the mallard is kips which serves sort of mex food. Ask for missy, my daughter, and introduce yourself. The nightingale motel is right there if you need a place to sleep for the night. There is a ton of free camping there too. And, you can soak in the sulphur springs for free if you park in the big lot in the center of town
