I noticed that the area nearby my footpegs where the heels of my boots normally rest is wearing and the metal finish is altered. Its now a bit shiny due to constant heel rubbing. I've seen decal type protective heel guards that can be attached, but can't seem to find them here in the US. Any suggestions or ideas for protecting the metal finish there? Thanks in advance!

Look for some 3M clear protective film. Works great, easy to apply and can be removed easily too. One application protected the black painted exhaust shield by my left heel on my 1100 for decades. Always hit that with the heel when deploying the side stand.

I was thinking about just making a template and using some kydex and 3M adhesive to attach it...Its just cosmetic so I dont know how much time I want to spend on something like this.
