I'm selling my 1100 here very soon, and I may go ahead and change the belts as a selling point. At 97k miles what is the minimum I should change out?

Also is there a cross reference for NAPA belts? I just did the ones on my 1100 Goldwing and got the Gates version.

Nice Jon!.. I'm moving this to the ST1100 articles... thanks.

Re: Parts for timing belt change?

Ok that's great, but I still need to know if NAPA has a cross reference belt number, and what needs to be replaced. My GW just had 40k miles so the tensioners were fine, all I had to do was replace the belts.

Re: Parts for timing belt change?

I agree with my friend Jon... only $78 every 90,000 miles for the only part you need (this time):
14401-MT3-004 / BELT, TIMING

Here's some more pictures that may be of interest (note the good R&R tip in the caption for the picture of the old timing belt):

Alright, thanks guys. Unfortunate Gates doesn't have a cross referenced part number. Guess I'll tackle the job this week so I can get the ST sold. Nice link, really shows the marks.
