TN: Tag

Beautiful day for a tag ride. My history lesson today is that when the attached penitentiary was open it housed James Earl Ray. It's quite interesting to read the bio of the place. You can read here if so inclined.

That is the full size replica of the Parthenon in Greece to exact detail.
There is also a full-size statue of Athena inside just like the original.
It's a pretty awesome sight at night when they light her up!
It was built totally from public contributions and the company that I retired from (H.E. Parmer) was one of the contractors.

Old Parthenon, new Blue Angel on a pole. If you're not comfortable parking on Sam Ridley a pic of the Hornet from Nolan Dr. is fine.

Sorry about the traffic. I'm all for tags in uncrowded areas but the Blue Angel memorial was on my list of things to go see. I came in from the east. Thanks for your info on the tags, Carthage Lighthouse is good stuff. It's a ride game not a keyboard search thing.

Good move and close enough on the tag pickup.

Alrighty,
Old - lighthouse, new Donoho. Lots of history in this neck of the woods, and several covered bridges to ride thru

.... Hwy 84 runs from Sparta to Monteray and is one fun and scenic rd! The new tag is a block from the intersection of Hwy 70 and Hwy 84.

The new tag is the first pic and old tag is the second..

This image showed up just before login. This post is from Apr 2012.

I was convinced I've stopped at this theater, but not this one in TN, but one I've seen in a small town in TX. I had actually taken a picture of the theater in TX - I should search my archived photos to check if I still have it.

It's possible I'm imagining things - that happens alot, considering my accelerated aging since retiring. Or maybe it looks "similar" because of that era, where all theaters had this similar style of labeling.

Old pic then new pics

New tag is Arnold Air Force Base (near Tullahoma)- either the delivery entrance or the main engineering entrance, there are planes at either.

AEDC (Arnold Engineering and Development Center) has been involved in the development and testing of every rocket and jet engine since the 1950's

Now hold on a darn second!.... when did you get an RT?
You'll need to keep up Joe. I got it to see what all the fuss was about, rode it to Locstoc in June. I've put a little over 6k miles on it since June and the jury is still out - It feels tall, bulky and cramped to me (I lowered the pegs and that helped with the cramped) but on the plus it is comfy at high speed and it is a mile eating beast. I hope to see you at Snakestoc, Jack

Cool... it was an adjustment for me coming off the super ten and tracer w/adv type ergos.

Can't make SnakeSTOC - but will be at ArkanSTOC and hoping for FL-STOC.
