2003 ST1300
I just bought a 2014 Yamaha Super Tenere. I really like it so far. Its nice to have some more up to date electronics and suspension.
My wife and I went on a day trip to check out the ergonomics for her and she approves, but says it will take some adjustment. The ST with a top box and the raised grab bars, make it a little more secure for her. The S10 has grab bars, but they are lower. I may get a proper ADV top box for the S10 as I really like to be able to store my helmet and other things on the bike.
I still have the ST1300. Its hard to sell it since its has so little value at this time. I still prefer the ST's handling in the curves, the S10 makes you work a little more. The jewel of the ST, the engine, certainly has the S10's beat.

Recently a couple of new bikes in our stable: CRF450L and a Grom, I love them both but for the same reasons you describe our ST will always be king

Congrats!

Every time I read one of these, including the one I wrote in 2018 when I sold my ST 1300 and bought a 2018 FJR with factory heated grips, digital gear indicator, ABS, TC, modes, and cruise etc, I just wonder what Honda was thinking by not updating the ST 1300.

I truely believe an updated version of the ST1300, with more creature comforts and farkles would be well received!
A great cruise control being at the top of my list! Perhaps shedding a few pounds would be another bonus!

Honda did update the ST with the new 2018+ ST-1800 (aka Gold Wing). Just wish they had kept the larger saddlebags. Great engine and lower center of gravity. Better aftermarket support, too. It isn't quite as nimble with the extra 100 lbs, but the new suspension and lower CG helps a lot.
