I had the PR4s on my NT700V. I got phenomenal wear on those...about 18,000. But I didn't like them. I don't even consider them as a replacement tire.
I sold the bike and bought the F800GT. I've had two sets of Continental RA3s on it. I'd buy those again in a heartbeat. None of the tires I put on the bike have lasted as long as the PR4s, but it is a different bike, and I ride it more aggressively.
The RA3s require no scrub in. Right out the gate, you can ride them hard. Same thing when you're starting out each morning. Tip in feels just right. They are a confidence building tire that eliminated any thought about my tires giving way on super aggressive riding.
FWIW, I'm using the new Dunlop RS4 on the F800GT now. No issues at all through the wet months in Puget Sound. Again, tip in feels just right. Supposedly they will wear longer than the Dunlop RS3, but only time will tell. I'd consider them a good alternative to the Conti's. There might even be a rebate on them to make the deal sweeter.
