Oops I hesitated

After a light rebuilding of my trailer to use for the upcoming RockSTOC, built sides, painted and mounted wheel chock, I decided I better try out my new folding aluminum ramp. As the title implies, didn’t go great on the first attempt. Now I have to glue up the left mirror cover and buff up the pannier and front fender, grrr, stupid me for hesitating part way up, I’m chuffed

It can be a tricky, dicey deal with a heavy bike on a ramp by oneself, and I feel your pain... and the rest.
It wasn't the ST, but a Blackbird years back.

Some of us didn't learn that until too late.
Now I just use a trailer with a tailgate, and use the engine and clutch as I walk up beside it under power.
Still not the absolute "safest", but I trust my clutch control and take it easy.

You need rampS, not ramp. One for the bike to roll on, one for you to walk beside on.

We all feel your pain. Bikes, ramps, a moment of hesitation and the already top heavy ST is on its side, it happens so quickly.

Yes Larry and Andrew, that was my first mistake, I'll go buy a second one. And Robert, the pannier certainly has patina now

There may still be some left wineberry mirror covers left as they are showing 'in stock' with some vendors.
You might want to order one while you can.
I've been waiting on right side ones for months - they supposedly have some in the 'pipeline'.
