Oh dear what have i done.

it is with some regret and excitement that I have joined the Goldwing dark side.

I have always promised myself one and i have now bitten the financial bullet and brought one.

let's hope i like it, as it has a big pair of boots to fill that the ST1300 will leave.

I thought I read that the "boots" on the 1300 offer more storage than that on a 1800... I think they are pretty close but the 1300 has a touch more storage. Of course I think that is when a top box has been added to the 1300.

Especially when the trunk/boot is filled with a spare tire/tyre.

Enjoy the Wing! I loved mine. After some years, I found that I wanted a different style of riding that the Wing didn't fit. I was doing more commuting than touring and wanted something a little more nimble. I was always a fan of the ST. In that respect, I still have the windshield, bags, fairings, etc. What I do miss is the cruise control, comm system and key-less entry. :D

On the downside, the microwave takes too long to pop popcorn and the fridge won't hold 2 liter bottles. Barbaric!

The GW has more storage (by about 2 liters) than an ST1300 fitted with a HondaLine trunk.
