Honda Hawk 1100 for 2023?

Yes, please, anything but the 78 CB450 Hawk styling.

Maybe it was my lust for the CB400F SuperSport that preceded it in the Honda lineup, but that Hawk twin's styling made me want to barf.

As does Young Machine's rendition.

I got excited, thinking "Hawk" meant a new NT650.
Like, V-twin.
Maybe owning that KTM950 Adventure -S can be blamed for my attraction to V- motors these days? And riding this 1300 motor hasn't hurt, either.

Africa twin is still a good motor, even if it's a parallel twin. A quick look at the parts fiche suggest it's a 3 bearing crank, which already takes it a step ahead of the venerable nt650.

I suppose Honda had a boatload of that color paint left over and just had to wake up the old design team to dispose of it?

I wouldn't be surprised to see a new "Hawk" with the AT engine in it. And with DCT as an option. Honda will see how many bikes they can stuff that engine in to. I'm still baffled as to why they went with the Rebel 2nd....
