Mac OS Sonoma - Basecamp

Getting set to purchase a Mac-Mini, M2 chip with the Sonoma OS.

Will Basecamp run on it?

I'm currently running BaseCamp v 4.8.11 . . . a check for updates responds that there are no updates currently available.

Yes, I have being using Basecamp for two years on a MacBook Pro with M1. There was no problem with the upgrade to Sonoma.

Follow up question now that I'm migrating to a new mac-mini . . .

Basecamp copies over just fine, but . . . when I go tp open it I get a message that I need to install Rosetta first.

Is Rosetta required? Is there a way to run it without Rosetta?

If you need to install Rosetta on your Mac - Apple Support (CA)

Rosetta 2 enables a Mac with Apple silicon to use apps built for a Mac with an Intel processor.

Downloaded Rosetta . . . no problems as on start-up the computer asked to install it.
