2016 BMW 1200RT

Hey Dean, yeah I think I will need one. Just need to figure where to hid and where to wire it too...not so easy with the canbus system. Hope to see you on the road sometime soon. Ride Safe!

Install a PDM60 and you can forget about all the CANBus problems

Dave my dealer tapped in on the R1200Rt under the seat. There is 2 fuse there 1 a 30 amp=don't use the other is 7.5 amp. That is the 1 they use for a trigger wire for the pdm 60 power unit, as was suggest on this thread. If U want will picture here? Oh, it has a 30 second X shut down.
Do not run extras off the battery direct.

Congrats Dave!! I bought my FJR without a test ride and was very reluctant. I justified it by telling myself that so many others like the bike, that I will just have to make it work with aftermarket equipment. BMW sells a ton of bikes due to their test ride policy...kudos to them.

That sure is purty... stop this.. the temptation is not good..

Congratulations Dave! That is a beautiful motorcycle in a beautiful color.

What a nice bike. It and the FJR certainly seem like the best sport touring models available at the present. Maybe Honda will get their act together maybe not. I'm sure you will love this one. Give us an update after you have ridden it awhile....:D

Dave, Having trouble with e-mails with windows 10? so will try here?
The wire for the 7.5 is RED with a blue tracer.
From here all your add on's go to the PDM 60.

Oh, my bad I said 30 amp fuse it is as the picture shows 15 amp. Runs the dash lights/display. Do not use.
7.5 amp USE RED with blue tracer.
Have fun. ace/bob

Congrats Dave. Beautiful color! Too bad more dealers don't do test rides.

I am very good friends with a local Yammy Dealer/owner, goes back to childhood... even he won't let me test ride. (And I've been on him every chance I get...) I wonder if it's a directive from corporate. Sad though, they'd surely get more sales. I bet Kendoo would have let you take his for a ride once he took delivery though!
