OK some replies.
Jethro 99% of the miles are one up. I only take a grandkid for rides from time to time.
Valker my favorite car tire has been the BF Goodrich G force Comp 2 tire.
v8-7, 2 sets of fork seal and I'm sure I have less than 4 miles riding wheelies!
Catmandu I'll list the major items that I have logged here now. I did lose some data in a hard drive crash and I may have forgot to log some things but it's amazing how little I've had to do to the bike. The bike has left me walking only once from failure. I had a major tire cut that could not be repaired. I refuse to count the 3 times I've ran out of gas as bike failures. Funny thing, I just ran out of gas the day the bike hit 350. I got off at an exit to fill the bike and there was a wreck with a mile of traffic so I got back on the road and I ran out of gas 3/8ths of mile from the next gas station with 286 miles on the counter.
Major Items:
1 rear shock and spring at 180,000 miles or so. Exact data lost. Replaced with a used low mile police bike shock.
2 sets of fork seals. Once below 60,000 and once at 322,000. Do the math, the fork oil was in there 262,000 miles and was working "fine" to me. The sliders also still looked good but I replaced them top and bottom parts at the 322,000 seal change. The forks were not worn (looked "fine") but I rotated them 90 degrees so they wear at a different area now.
3 Ujoints. They seem to have a normal life of 125,000 for me.
1 fuel pump somewhere around 225,000 miles.
Clutch slave cylinder seals at 315,000.
During the last fork seal change I looked over at the radiator and it had lots of bent over fins. I spent 5 hours straightening them once before so this time I bought a like new part off evil bays and replaced it at 322,000 mles. It was working "fine" but I think the bent fins had a major affect on my cooling.
I replaced a working fine alternator with a used 77,000 mile alt. at 206,000 miles in preparation for an Alaska trip. That used alt is still in there and now has a lifetime mileage of 222,425 (used at 77000 + my 145425 more miles).
2 sets of the flange hub bearings. The small bearings in the spline hub. Honda number 91052-KZ4-J21
1 set of Honda front wheel bearings at 252,700 miles.
1 set of Honda rear wheel bearings at 332,507 miles!!!!!!
On the above bearing change I didn't like how worn the spline hub splines were looking so I bought another evil bay crashed police bike part, an entire rear end and drive shaft and ujoint for $90.
So at 339,610 miles I changed the rear end (pumpkin) with a used part off a police bike with 22,000? miles. So new (used) splines male and female parts and the rear pumpkin and the spline bearings in the spline hub would be now new (used), the drive shaft and the Ujoint.
I think 4 batteries now. I buy cheap ones under $60, ES12BS. They are 1" taller so the factory hold down clamp will not fit. I started using the cheap batteries when the battery died right next to a hardware store in Clayton OK. They had a taller ES12BS battery so in it went (and it works "fine"). They last 3 years.
I liked the evil bay crashed police bike parts I bought so well I also bought the rear shock and the front brake discs off that bike (22,000 miles) and all look like new parts. Not installed yet. My brake discs still measure in tolerance per the manual but do have a few grooves.
And so
@Igofar can sleep without a Valium pill I did change the brake fluid once. At 83,750 miles. That was entirely too much work for me so since then I just suck out the reservoirs dry and replace that much fluid every 2 years or so. No SMC part replacements yet. Brakes work "fine"!!!!
I still ride the bike like the day I bought it. A little fast and lot of far. I normally cruise along at 75 mph and sometimes 80 all day long.
