I sure don't know how it did it. From Evanston, Wy into southeast Idaho. Only 125 miles on 1.9 gallons with virtually no wind, riding about 65 with only a couple hills. Maybe it was just really good gas at the Sinclair gas station in Evanston. I got gas there a couple years ago with my LT and it got over 70mpg in the same region. I did get 60 one other time on the same trip but that was with a strong tailwind.

Pure amazing...... a very light throttle hand and moderate acceleration always gives a good return, but that is astonishing, especially as it is US gallons.....

Twinpine and I got in the 65+ MPG range on the way from Des Moines to the Twin Cities after Moonshine. This was loaded down with camping gear and going around 80MPH. Oh and on 89 octane E10 fuel. We did have one heck of a tailwind.

It was a 260 mile ride and I still had well over 1/3 a tank when I got home. I usually get gas at 220-240.

I was thinking the gas we giving the computer incorrect results on the MPG numbers but he confirmed he was getting the same mileage on his bike.

Could be the downhill run?

Evanston is at 6749 feet, Montpelier (a town I picked at random in SE Idaho) is 5900 feet.

Wow....that's great mileage. Just got 43.5 on a 400 mile trip to New Hampshire and back to CT.......hammered the highway on the way up - 75 to 80 mph and took back roads home. Doesn't change much when I'm around town and commuting.

Wow...my 1300 has been gradually dropping, now I can barely get 40 mpg with normal riding, maybe 45 on a perfectly flat stretch, windshield down, riding like Granny.
