I looked into this on a ST1100 (which would be about the same but a little more effort because of the fork/caliper difference), and it would be more work than it is worth. And the big problem would be trying to 'debug' it to make sure it works. I do plan on swapping just the hydraulic bits/forks one day on my 97 standard ST1100 but that will be a major chore in itself. The only way I could see pulling it off would be to have a standard and an ABS sitting side by side, strip them down to the frame and swap parts. But if you had the ABS (unless it was wrecked), it just would not make much sense. There a lot of electrical and 'pump' things to install with the ABS system. And on the ST1100 ABS, it even has a slightly difference rear hub and fairing stay (I have one of each). ;-)
