ABS Problems

Hi
Ive got a 1999 ST1100 both the ABS light started flashing when driving
the only problem it ive tried getting the error but it dosnt work any ideas

the only other thing ive noticed is when you first turn the ignition on when all the lights light up only the left hand abs light lights up

Without the code(s) we'd be shooting in the dark. How are you trying to retrieve the codes?

as per what ive read online holding the ABS/TSC warning switch while turning on the ignition but it doesnt seem to work although ive notice it dosnt dim it aswell so i'm wondering if theres a fault in the wiring to the swtch as ive tested the switch

Are you only holding the button until the light goes out? As soon as that happens, release the button. Codes should now blink out.

i tried that but it didnt work
the button doesnt seem to do whats its suppose to either so i think that might have a problem also

managed to get the code i swapped the TCS ON/OFF switch with the TCS/ABS Warning switch it was error 7 i cleared the error and so far its not come back but only been on a short ride

as for the switch i've cleaned it and it working again
