Ah yes, the High Pyrenees. I was up there in Summer 2015, in the car. Different world. Loved it. No salt on the road round here. These days you don't seem to see as much rust on cars that you used to years ago. Certain makes were more prone than others, when I say rust I mean rot, eg 1950s and 1960s Vauxhalls, but there weren't many that escaped. Exhausts and silencers didn't seem to last more than a couple of years. The 'good old days.'Of course I could be wrong, going by the state of the van in this photo, although the picture was taken in the pyrenees a couple of years ago, fresh snow is just visible on the tops, it was late September I think.
