I'm the same way, fix and keep when I can. Looking at a new blower this year. Had my old one (13hp 33") over 20 years.

My 1st blower was a chain driven auger model from Sears.

I see you added some extra lighting on already. Never seen a blower yet I liked the stock lights on.

Glad to see the snowman tanks in the background too!

Yes stock lights on an Ariens are very dim. 2 LED from Princess Auto, rectifier and a switch and I can light up the neighborhood. I used it 3 times last year, hopefully the same this year

Did you put in a capacitor to smooth the AC to DC ripple effect? I had to do that with mine when I upgraded to LED.

Yes, could not blow snow with those lights flicking, I also added a switch.. forgot .. I added capacitors also
