Another Method to Ride Colorado

Just thought I would drop a short post here and let folks know that there is a new addition to my stable. Picked her up a couple of weeks ago. 2017 JK Sport, with 42400 miles. At almost 75 years old my enjoyment of dirt riding the back country is waning a bit, (It hurts when I fall down) so I thought I would try another method and see how that works out.

Good looking Jeep Chuck. I suggest Mosquito Pass for a good test. The area above Pitkin (NWestish) is also nice and easy in the summer.

Finally after two and a half months of ownership I finally got my JK out in the wild, so to speak. A nice 100 mile drive with a couple of dirt roads thrown in. Sure was nice not having to worry about falling down. No helmet either.

I'm in the same boat. We went a similar but slightly different route to get us into the back country.

Chuck and I tried Mosquito Pass on our DR 650’s. Chuck sold his DR 650 right after that. We had to turn around and head back down.

Today I left the Bikes at home and decided to get the wrangler out of the city into the country. It was a beautiful day, blue sky, green meadows, just me and my Jeep..
