Wife and I are doing 3 nights in Cookeville TN for the 2nd week of June. Any hidden gems for food, beer, and sights in the area? All roads, routes, and places of ill repute appreciated ( I was just searching for another 'R' word :)

We are leaving the Fl panhandle, traveling through the Talladega National Forest and onto the Covered Bridge Trail into Muscle Shoals. I thought I'd visit Mr. Jack Daniels and loop the plateau before heading to the Devils Triangle and down through 129 and The Dragon.

I am open for most anything. I love local flavor, breweries, and bourbon.

I stumbled across this website when route planning and thought, "Why Not?"

Lots of good roads in the area.
Highway 70N from Cookeville west to Chestnut Mound, 53 north up to Gainesboro, 135 back down to Cookeville is a nice loop.
Or 70N all the way to 96, 96 across Center Hill Dam, when you come to 70, turn around and go back the way you came.
Or longer, 85 out of Gainesboro to Livingston, 84 to Monterrey, Woodcliff road to Algood, 42 to back to Cookeville.
Just a few possibilities ... ;)
