Does anyone have experience with the Santa Teresa, New Mexico Border Crossing? Mapping a 48/10/3 IBA route and want to start in Mexico. Looks like a gas station 1 mile south of the boarder and not much else in the area. Safe enough to ride a mile down and turn around?

I've not crossed the border there, but Columbus, NM is about 60 miles west. Pancho Villa State Park is there with a very interesting museum. Worth the visit if you have the time.

I've not used the Santa Teresa border crossing but the border crossing south of Columbus, and the Antelope Wells border crossing were easy without a problem.
Best of luck with your IBA ride.
