Got rid of my KTM 790 Adventure R and replaced it with an Aprilia Tuareg 660. KTM was very fun to ride but a combination of poor dealer/manufacturer support made me lose confidence in it. The KTM took me places where I needed to have confidence it would get me home. After my experience with the valve/cam issue, that confidence was just not there anymore. So......we will see. The Tuareg has a pretty good rep for reliability and has been out for 2 years. I haven't got any miles on it yet so I am anxious to see if it works in the back country. I don't expect it to be as capable in the very rough stuff but I am getting too old for that anyway.

Have put just about enough miles on it to do the breakin oil change. Liking it more and more. Certainly doesn't have the power of the KTM but what it has is more than adequate. Starting to add some protection for the inevitable.
