OEM all round. I'll stick with them if only because at 98,xxx miles there is about 70% of allowable wear left in my discs. They brake just fine too.

I haven't had any issues with the EBCs when wet...but I also haven't had any noise from them either that some people complain about. I have no complaints with the EBC. Had them for around 2k miles now. I can't say anything about wear, as I haven't had them long enough.

I ran a set of EBC's on the rear, didn't notice much difference. Have only run OEM's on the front, and back to OEM's on the rear too.

I've tried EBC HH's and OEM's. OEM rears are thicker than EBCs so they last longer. I didn't notice much difference otherwise.

OEM are HH pads. I don't know the codes but there is an industry standard for pads and sintered metal ones are called HH pads.

I have about 25000 miles on a full set of EBC "HH" pads now, and I am very happy with them. I will continue to use EBC over OEM. Wet weather has yet to cause me any issues, and the pads "bite" is aggressive but predictable, without any noticed fade, chatter or squeal. Are they harder on the brake rotor? I dunno, maybe, but I don't care - I'll take the increased braking performance as a trade off.

How do you know if EBC HH pads give increased braking performance over OEM HH pads? Is there data?

From personal experience my stopping distances became shorter when doing emergency braking drills, and the braking effort at the lever went down.

This is the latest OEM rear set from my 2005

My records show

24,000 miles Replaced rear brake pads
43,000 miles Replaced rear brakes
about 4K early
69,700 miles Replaced rear brake pads
88,000 miles Replaced rear brake pads

I've put on a brand named Sixity (less $$$). We'll see how they fare.

If anyone is interested here's my mileage for OEM front pads

26,750 miles Replaced front brake pads
43,500 miles Replaced front brake pads
72,000 miles Replaced front brake pads

I've used just about everything out there and always go back to OEM 'til caught out, when I buy whatever is in stock.

Britman, given yurlow rear brake miles, I'd advise checking for brake drag. My opinion.
