I run exclusively highway miles on my ST1300. Not a lot of stopping/starting. I changed out my Bridgestone 020's at 11,600 miles mostly since my next ride is a 1,700 mile trip to Moonshine in April.

The rear tire was almost to the wear bars but not quite. The front tread looked new but upon close examination showed some slight signs of cupping along the right side.

I could have easily clocked another 500 miles on this set to hit/start into the wear bars. So, for me these tires last easily 12,000 miles.

Thanks for the info Bob.

I have almost the same results with the 020s on my bike. They had about 500 miles on them when I bought the bike in April of this year. I have put another 11,000 on them since. The rear is not quite to the wear bars and the front looks like it would go a few thousand more.

I have looked, searched and debated about what to replace them with. I think it will be more of the same. 12,000 miles plus on the rear is acceptable to me. YMMV
