ok i have a 1997 st1100 abs
the carbs that are on it are toast
i got anouther set
but i noticed that i must have a california model, extra vacume lines.
so i want to install other carb it doesnt have the vacume lines under carbs and i would have to cap off loine in front of carb that goes to that round vacume thing and the line that is up on the upper right side.

will that affect anything?
or what is the best way to go about it i did carb swap and pluged those 2 lines and it idled and ran but i noticed a smal burp every once in awile?

You're probably talking about the PAIR system under the carbs. You can bypass that, it's only for emissions. The round device on the upper right side you could probably remove without any effects. I think it traps vented vapors. Mine in Canada doesn't have that.

Check the jet sizes as well. They are different depending on the year. But I think the carb bodies are all the same.
