My poor old ST1100 got slide again. It damaged the right side mirror, luggage, and bend the upper fairing frame. Lesson learned for this time: always check the tire pressure before riding.
Just want to share the restore experience.
Upper fairing frame was hit so hard, it completely shifted to left side. This could be bend back by placing car jack against to the suspension bar and jack it back. Easy job, 5 mins to get it straight again, see below photos.

Luggage and fairing plastic broken can be welded back by the plastic weld kits.

For the smashed mirror, I could not find a used right side mirror at market, so just bought a pair of new Kawasaki zx14 mirrors, $26 from Amazon. This one has led turn signal. Just need a little modification, it fit in nicely. Looks ugly, but will be using it like this until I find a used right side mirror.

Now the bike is back, total spent is $26 and lots of work to take the fairing off and put it on. Luckily, I did not get much hurt.

Considering the degree of trauma to the bike, you’ve done well. I personally don’t think the mirrors look bad at all, and if they are functional, even better. I too am a bit of a perfectionist, but these are old bikes now, so you have to improvise and you did a very good job!

I think if you could cover the original fixings with a piece of some'at cut to size it would look good.
Well done.

It is functional and you can ride it. I say well done! Very innovative use of what you got and improvising with those Kawi mirrors.

Okay, here comes 2nd version of cheap mirror alternative.
Bought a pair of mirror mount at Amazon for $8. The half of mount that had the 10mm mirror thread fit exactly to the original ST1100 brake/clutch master cylinder mount. Took two bolts off and put that half mount in. Now, I can install all other aftermarket mirrors. [still ugly though......]

The kawa mirrors is a smart move. Perhaps if you put a flat plate painted red over the holes in the fairing, job done.
