Corbin seat not fitting

He's too cheap to pay for the injection molds to make well fitted bases. Laid up fiberglass is way cheaper in the short run. Yes, fiberglass is more cost effective for short runs, I'll admit. But my Sargent saddle on my 1300 with its injection molded, plastic base is more comfortable than the Corbin on the same bike. :)
Your first comment may well be true, but I question the last. If there is any foam padding at all on top of the seat pan (and only* old time tractor seats, made of cast iron, did not have padding) then the pan has a limited contribution to comfort. I say limited because if the structure cannot hold its basic shape, it cannot support you. Minor flexing, however, will not affect comfort.

I had a Sargent seat on my 1300 and it was very hard and surprisingly comfortable. I ended up swapping it for an OEM Spencerized seat because of my short inseam. That might have been a mistake, but not having made long trips on the Sargent, I couldn't compare the two.

*And some early motorcycles, too.
