2015 BMW K1600GT
The new K1600GT. Special thanks to the St. Louis folks for taking time out of their schedule to check this bike out for me. Thank you T_C and DinkieDiesel!!!

From the dealership to my driveway 894.0 miles exactly.

What a ride and a great bike!

I'm a little apprehensive about the maintenance and upkeep, but I'll warm up to it in time.

Congrats!.. I'm sure you'll like that bike... they are sweet!

I hope this doesn't mean I have to turn in my membership card to the forum!

Congrats on the new bike, I'm sure you will enjoy it a lot!

Now, you get to learn how to take the tupperware off and perform all the maintenance...;)

ah... thanks for the reminder.. as soon as I get them made, I'll need yours back.

Very Nice, what happened to the ST?

I still have the ST but am going to put it up for sale very soon. I'm trying to decide whether I want to sell it as is or defarkle it first. I plan on changing the oil, filter, lubing the splines, and changing the final drive oil before I list it.

Great bike Joe, hope you enjoy as much as I have for the last year. It looks like a 2012 model, is that correct?

Nice ride! If Joe lets Booger and I hang around he should let you stay here too :)
Mike

For cryin' out loud man, let's hear a ride report. 894 miles is enough to give us a first impression anyway. How was the weather? Did you go through Memphis, Little Rock via 67 or Muskogee? How was the MPG's? How was the air management. Seat comfort? Cruise control operation? Suspension? Brakes? Is the exhaust the mechanical equivalent of Viagra? Is Honz a good chap to deal with?

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Ride Report PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations on the Beemer, Joe!!

That is a sweet looking bike. I hope to admire it in person at an RTE or something soon (can't make today's...prior plans).

+1 on the ride report... inquiring minds want to know. ;)

These are great bikes.
I have ridden both the GT and the GTL. The GTL works best for me as it is slightly lower.
Ginas BMW in Iowa City has them. Last I spoke with her she said that her demos had enough miles on them to sell.
http://ginasbmwmotorcycles.com/ if anyone is interested. Tell her Brian with the silver ST in New Hampton sent you.

Please tell us your thoughts on the Adaptive headlights!

Honestly I didn't notice it much. Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention but have only had it after dark going into Searcy, Arkansas and my eyes were focused on road signs and exits not to mention the Trooper I got to see up close.
