I thought the same thing, but I have already made the second generation mount for my stero. It works a lot better than the first effort, I'll show it to you this weekend! I can hear it pretty darn good up to about 90 or so!

Front View still looks good to me. The contours of the front and back still just don't look like it was "grafted in". But I do agree if anyone should know about this it should the ST boys. :bow1::bow1::bow1::bow1: So my only hope is that we have some hold outs some where?

A one-off doesn't get known unless the person rides to events or posts pictures... if no one in the community knows of it, then they haven't shown it to any of us...

Since the dash surround on ReSTored is already busted, maybe I'll try something like that. Just a little larger and those 3.5" speakers would fit right in.

I emailed the owner of this dash again; here is his reply.

Hi John,

I was not able to get in touch with the previous owner. I sent him several emails but did not get a reply. A few other ebay members also asked me about the dash. Sorry I cannot be of anymore assistance.

The 3 1/2" measurement is outside. I just happen to know that the inside measurement is a bit under 3". I used 3" PVC pipe caps for the heart of the current set up. I'm sure a dremmel would make the hole bigger enough.....

Those PVC pipe caps would make a good start point for adding some fiberglass. Or, maybe better yet, black ABS piping as it matches the stock plastic. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. :D
