Boots Disappointed with Sidi boots

I haven't owned any Sidi boot but I still have my Ridge boots. They are currently my back up pair (just because they are the older pair). I've had them for about 5 years now and the only problem I had with them was caused by me. I was thinking that I would save effort by only unfastening one side, the side with the zipper, rather than both sides and ended up pulling the liner apart from the upper trim inside one of the boots. I am sure the newer model is improved but I encourage you to be sure to unfasten both the inside and outside of the boots to pull them on/off. I started doing that and they continue to be good boots. Have worn them in some very heavy rains and stayed dry.
