I think i'm going to attempt the cruise install even though its way above my skill level. I do have a couple of questions as I start to get the needed parts. Is there any difference between the audiovox & the rostra? I know there both electronic but is one easier to install than the other? They look to be made by the same company. Also does the pulse divider take the place of the vss kit? Thanks for any help.

The AudioVox looks like the Rosta model. Probably is.

The pulse divider is needed to use the VSS output signal on the ST (and Honda vehicles.)

The Rosta can accept up to a 40,000 pulse per mile (PPM) VSS signal. The VSS on the ST, puts out over 80,000 PPMs.

The pulse divider cuts the PPMs in half (down to 40,000 PPMs) or even 1/4 (20,000 PPMs) if you so desire.

The VSS kit is a magnet attached to a wheel and, a pickup you have to attach to probably the swing arm.

Get the pulse divider. You will be happier and speed control will be extremely accurate compared to a wheel magnet set-up.
