The newest bike in the stable is this 2006 Gold Wing. It's an addition and not a replacement for the ST. I still want to see 200,000 on the ST but it might take a little longer.

I haven't liked a Goldwing since late 70's GL1000's, after which they started loading 'em down with junk and fancy-ask names like aspencade and interstate... That is until recently... starting right about the year of yours when they started (visually) slimming them down again (and making them look more like the ST...) Congrats!

I like it! What trim level? Car tire in the future? I know Brenda is going to love it!
This all started with Brenda sitting on the passenger seat of your Wing! It's an Audio model. So far my project list has heated grips and am looking at options for a 1.5" shorter windshield but a CT is not on my radar. I put a set of Bridgestone Exedras on it Saturday so tires are good for a while.

White with red leather, just like the original Corvettes. I like it! Congratulations!

Agree on the GL1000's. We had three 1978 models. My favorite was rescued from harleyfication and completely rebuilt. It was a fine touring bike with just throw over saddle bags and a luggage rack/sissy bar combination. A little slow when travelling two up and a bit cramped. The add-on phase turned me off the GL's, until the increase in cylinders/horsepower and integrated bodywork. Then the GL became a worthy road bike once again. Still, though, I have two ST's that are also near perfect travelling machines.
