I did a slow motion drop in a parking lot today when making a tight turn. My wife was on the back and we both managed to step off as the bike touched down. I might have been able to hold it up without a passenger but as it reached the point of no return, I remembered what the surgeon told me two months ago after neck surgery. He advised letting the bike go and not straining my neck or shoulders if I ever found myself in this situation. The only damage was a scuffed up tip over wing.
As the title says, this is the first tip over in 32 years and that was while goofing around on a DT400 in a gravel parking lot. I don't count all the wipe-outs while riding dirt bikes off road.
