Retirement affords time to play as long as one's health cooperates. Woke this morning to discover my lower back went south of reality.My bike came with a still in package MCL fork brace -- I have not installed it yet, but it is on the to do list
Gonna sleep on the Superbrace tonight....
crawl out to the garage tomorrow morning...
and ride that SuperBrace around the peninsula. Hopefully.

Make absolutely sure it is not going on at all cockeyed as you tighten bolts , don't just slap it on ….

I would view this before you install your brace.
When this is done correctly, you'll find you may not need your brace, and in fact, the bike may be better off without it
At one time, I had 3 or 4 of them on the shelf that folks asked me to remove.

That was interesting, as was trying to hear it. His accent is so thick, I put on closed captions, which were interesting, too.

Now you wanna see how well you did?
Lift the front of the bike up and pull the tire off.
Now CLEAN the axle completely off (no grease)
Clean the inside of the fork lowers.
Now put a few drops of OIL on the axle and replace the axle by itself.
You should be able to take your thumb and index finger, and roll the axle back and forth FREELY without and binding.
You should also be able to slide the axle side to side, as if it were floating, again no binding.
If you can't do this simple test, your front end is not true.

"Did third test ride today around Palos Verdes. 65F., early spring in SOCAL, blossoms now in the streets.
With the newly installed SuperBrace fork mount, could lean the bike thru some of the s turns, hands off. Very impressive bolt on mod. It's not rocket science, just fun."
Apparently installing a fork brace gives you courage and skill to take S turns using no hands.
Found an alternative fork brace that the forum may find interesting. https://www.aliexpress.com/i/33048559374.html, or https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Front-Fork-Stabilizer-Brace-Silver-Gold-For-Suzuki-GSF1200-Bandit-2001-2005-2002-/254207820880. Mine was described as "Front Fork Stabilizer Brace Silver Gold For Suzuki GSF1200 Bandit 2001-2005 for GSF1250 Bandit 2007-2010 Fork Brace". It is "SLIGHTLY" tight around the fork - I ground off about 1 mm from the ID of the clamp to fit the ST1300 fork. Also needed to shorten SLIGHTLY the span between the forks for my 1300 (about 1 mm) which is easily accommodated by separating the clamp and span parts, and slight grinding on the contact points between the clamp and spanner portions, on the spanner. I also went with slightly longer bolts for the split clamp connection. I believe these sell for around 32 - 40 dollars (delivered). I received mine within 2 weeks from China. - disclaimer - no affiliation with the vendors, nor do I warrent it will work on your bike, all have different tolerance.
Might be an alternative if you want to experiment with how the handling changes.
