The click type just MUST be kept calibrated if you want to trust them.
You can purchase a tool to calibrate them yourself if you have a vice.
Would you have a link for this tool Larry?
Or, how about using a fish type scale route?

When I am doing High Torque values (over 1500 LBS/FT ) I prefer to use a HY-Torque hydraulic torque wrench. Calibrated Daily or whenever torque is changed . once sheared off several 5/16"" stainless set screws removing variable pitch blades that had bolts set to 3,500 LBS/FT because Tech Rep said there were none installed. :censored: When using a "clicker" wrench at home i verify against a beam type wrench for accuracy. make sure you never exceed the beam wrench's capacity.
